Yes, that's true!
in the movie i didnt realize that hedwig had died until a little after so i didnt cry. but when i read the book i did
Coco wrote: "Not when Hedwig died. But when Dobby died, a little bit. Hedwig's death was so fast, there wasn't much time to feel bad for her."Yeah, especially because they were trying to escape from Voldemort, and everything. There was too much action to feel sad for her.
I'm going to have to restrain myself from talking about all the other times I cried, but:I did think it was heartbreaking how Hedwig tried to protect Harry, and was almost back to his side where she was blasted out of midair. Also Harry's "No...no..." - that was when I started getting tears. The scene was a bit intense though, so there wasn't much time to cry.
Tori wrote: "It's was so horribly sad. Hedwig's final act was protecting Harry. I thought the way she dies was just as noble as any character in the book."It was just as noble, which made it even more sad, in a way. Also, whenever I see her die, I get an image of her on Harry's arm in the snow at Hogwarts, in Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone. *Sniff*
I did not, I think this is because I knew it was coming from reading the book and there were a lot of deaths in the last book so I just took it.
Like, why kill of the poor owl :(. Probably and unpopular opinion but i'd have preferred it if Harry died instead.
okay wait a minute, ive seen the movies a thousand times i have not seen a scene where Hedwig dies?!?! where did i miss this??? as far as books im only on book 5

Deadass I couldn’t believe it💀I didn’t cry or anything because I thought he was gonna come back or smth. And this is when I was recently rereading the series and I don’t remember anything from the first time around
Frankly, few books have made me cry, so no. I did want to cry a bit at Dobby's death, though I don't remember if I did
No, I almost didn't remember it happened because it happened so fast. But I bawled like a baby when dobby died.
Everyone's talking abt Dobby and hedwig (i didn't cry for hedwig sorry but bawled for dobby) but what abt like fred, mad eye, sirius, remus. like istg i tear up just thinking abt srius's death but its not just sirius like my top 3 saddest deaths have to be sirius, remus and fred like just why did they have to do this to us :(
I didn’t cry when hedwig died,I feel like in the movies they kind of under did that part. But I bawled my eyes out when Dobby died both in the books and the movie😭😭
No I did not but I did later when Molly asked Harry if she would have Hedwig food and Harry don’t have the energy to tell her she is dead
List Dobby
Sirius
Headwig
Dumbledore
Fred
Snape
Lupin
Tonks
But not when bellatrix died when she threw the knife 🥺😭🤬😡👿👿👿👿👿👹
Ya my sister is reading the books and she has not got to that part yet but she will be super sad when Hedwig dies Dobby’s death was super tragic as well
Omg a I cried SO HARD!! And ai was in the living room when I was reading too, with my family, and all of a sudden I just start crying and my mom is like what the heck and I’m like Hedwig died, don’t judge me!!! It was very sad…. 😭
I had to put the book down and step away for a little bit when I first read that, Harry’s link from the muggle world to the magical world was gone forever. I’m tearing up now thinking just about it.

Likewise. It all happened really fast and it was in a scene where there was already a lot goi..."
I'm guessing she wanted to stay by Harry. Obedience reasons. Sticking by Harry's side till the very end... stuff like that.
