I guess I'll have to pick another to fit the time of the challenge. I'll probably end up reading

reaaaallly liked it. I was even debating giving it 5 stars, but it didn't really have that extra oomph to kick it into the amazing category. Will definitely read the next one!

Did not like it as well as the first but the ending picked it up for a bit. Although the relationship is more intense in the first book, I was glad to see it grow and develop into something deeper. And how refreshing that the couple didn't do the insta-love route!

The premise and idea for this book sounded very interesting. Also it was on Goodreads Movers & Shakers list in January. But this kind of literary fiction with more philosophy than sf is just not my thing. It reminds me the most in style of Never Let Me Go, so if you liked it you will probably like this one too. I gave up after 15%...

Good to know, didn't like 'Never Let Me Go', so I'll probably better skip this one

There were several things in this story I couldn't get past. Some of the secondary characters were amusing and fun to read about but the two main characters Hawk and Gwen made some choices I didn't like. I may still read others in the series as I'm interested in the other characters' stories.

Apart from what Fran said, I just didn't like Hawk. He was mostly on the alpha-hole territory for me. So far, Kristen Ashley has been more misses than hits.

I loved it so much too Irina!

I read Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper and it was interesting. I don't think I would label this as YA, it was much younger than that, but it was very interesting. ****

Inside Out - ★★★★★ - 30 Sep 12
Loved it. I figured out, early on, what/where "inside" was, but it was interesting to see how Trella learned the truth. It was chilling to know that so much knowledge was lost; that Trella doesn't fully comprehend what's going on, even after what happens. One of the titles of the people in charge makes me think that Trella and her group aren't completely alone -- that there other groups "out there" (even before I read the blurb for the second book).

ikr! too many good ones. I've TBR'd 2 already. ha.

I finished

I read Cinder by Marissa Meyer and I only gave it 2 stars. I'm not sure where this book fell short with me. The story was an interesting idea, the world was neat, but the execution of it all just fell really flat and I couldn't get into it. I may try to read the next one and give this author another chance. It's her first book so maybe 2nd time's the charm?

At 800 words, it was short and sweet. Too short, but a cute little glimpse back to a moment in the lives of Sirius and James. If only JKR would decide to write an entire series of prequels, then her fans would be happy.....until she wrote her series of new-gen novels. :) All-in-all a fun little 800-word scene.
Now...I'll try to squeeze in

I love mythology but unfortunately I don't read enough books based on mythology so I was delighted to read this one! It's about a demigod who was a child of Zeus... She was thrust into the future from late 1800s with no memories of the past to hide from the villian. Now she's returned with the new memories intact but not the previous memories needed to liberate her and the community.. And this villian is coming after her - oooh! Love it ;)

I read

Nice effort for a debut novel. Elements of The Hunger Games and Across the Universe. The mystery (what there was) is poorly developed, however the ending was just exciting enough to be forgive the awkwardness at the beginning of the novel.
