Taylor (taylors21) | 20 comments I'm reading The Lake of Dead Languages by Carol Goodman. Good so far.

Yvonne (selana) Does it make sense to have Charmed Knits on the list? It's a knitting book that I own, but since it has patterns nobody will read every bit of it. Or does it count to skip the instructions on how to knit the projects and just read the rest?

LOL....I did not expect anybody to own this book. But if you do...i don't think you need to read everything in it. : )

Well, I am a knitter and a Harry Potter fan LOL so this book is kind of a must for me...

Guess I'll read it then, there is a fair bit of reading material on top of the patterns in it

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments I'll also read Delirium (Delirium, #1) by Lauren Oliver for Hana (Delirium, #1.5) by Lauren Oliver .

Ty | 1943 comments So, I read both If I Stay (If I Stay, #1) by Gayle Forman and Where She Went (If I Stay, #2) by Gayle Forman . ★★★★★ each
crying, sobbing, absolute tears. just wrecked.
I need to go, like, watch the cartoon network or disney now.

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments I finished Delirium (Delirium, #1) by Lauren Oliver this weekend, and it was an emotional read. Oliver's prose is almost lyrical in its beauty, but I dislike the cliffhanger ending.
Overall 4 stars.

Another great Sookie Stackhouse read! Dead and Gone (Sookie Stackhouse, #9) by Charlaine Harris was good but I don't think it added anything to the plotline of the series. Still it was enjoyable! *****

Valorie | 2218 comments I read Deadlocked (Sookie Stackhouse, #12) by Charlaine Harris for Dead and Gone (Sookie Stackhouse, #9) by Charlaine Harris and really enjoyed it. A 4 star read for me.

Gwnhwyfer | 266 comments Read Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse, #1) by Charlaine Harris for Dead and Gone (Sookie Stackhouse, #9) by Charlaine Harris . Was a re-read, but it has been such a long time (I originally read it when the books first came out) that I forgot the mystery aspects. Now I have to get back to the rest of the series... ★★★★

Also have The Name of the Star (Shades of London, #1) by Maureen Johnson on my radar, but I don't know if I'll get to it by the end of the month...

message 462: by Makenzie (new)

Makenzie (makenziefay) | 496 comments Perfect timing! Just finished Delirium (Delirium, #1) by Lauren Oliver this morning! I liked it so much more than a lot of its contemporary novels. As I said in my review, it's nice to read things from a teen's POV without having the immature ramblings and 'omgs' going on. It made the read much more enjoyable.

4 stars! ★★★★

Amy ~Lover of Books~ | 957 comments I just picked up my hold of Boundless (Unearthly, #3) by Cynthia Hand from the library today so I'll be reading that!

message 468: by Dragana (new)

Dragana (diaryofthebookdragon) So many interesting books, this was tough to pick, but I'll go with Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas . :)

message 469: by Dragana (last edited Feb 07, 2013 01:04AM) (new)

Dragana (diaryofthebookdragon) Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas
Finished: Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas ★★★★ 06.02.2013.
Quick-paced fast read with love triangle romance that annoyed me & story line was too focused, I would love to have more world building and side-characters to be better developed. But still it was nice ya fantasy and I will definitely read next installment in this series. :)

message 470: by Elizabeth (last edited Feb 10, 2013 07:45AM) (new)

Elizabeth (elizabeth_greece) | 1918 comments Just finished Dead Witch Walking (The Hollows, #1) by Kim Harrison instead of White Witch, Black Curse (The Hollows, #7) by Kim Harrison by Kim Harrison, 2/10/2013. It was just 2.5 stars, urban-fantasy, quite slow at the beginning, the bad quy was the most intriguing character. People say the next book is better, I may read it.

Amy ~Lover of Books~ | 957 comments Boundless (Unearthly, #3) by Cynthia Hand

Finished: February 11th
Rating: 5 stars!

What a great ending this was to a trilogy series! I'm sad that it's finally over! I think Cynthia Hand did an excellent job in wrapping things up!

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments Finished Boundless (Unearthly, #3) by Cynthia Hand on the 20th. I thought the author wrapped this trilogy quite well, and I'm content with who Clara ended up with.

message 475: by Fran, Moderator (new)

Fran | 12278 comments Might try Prince of Wolves (The Grey Wolves, #1) by Quinn Loftis

message 476: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Beyers (mandybeyers) | 763 comments I've read both Deadlocked 2/22 **** (instead of Dead Reckoning) and Pale Demon 2/20 **** (instead of White Witch, Black Curse).

Both of these books were good additions to the series, but in both of them I became completely irritated with the men in the heroine's life. I'm hoping Sookie and Eric are DONE - I like Sam better; and Trent just pissed me off all the way through the Kim Harrison book. Even though he says he thinks he's helping, his methods stink!

Ezi Chinny (ezinwanyi) | 2657 comments finished Once Burned (Night Prince, #1) by Jeaniene Frost today. It was a 3.5 star read.

I had been really hesitant to read it after all the negative comments about Vlad being a jerk and not funny as Cat's friend in night huntress seris.

this book was entertaining enough. I enjoyed Leila and vlad and think they are a good couple. I do think vlad needs a woman less human. Kind of like Cat. A half human, half immortal.

Anyway, I will definitely read book 2 next month

message 481: by Yvonne (new)

Yvonne (selana) I just finished 14 by Peter Clines and had to give it 5 stars. Fun even if implausible story, lots of references to books, TV and movies, some fantasy elements, some mystery... An interesting mash up that shouldn't work but somehow does.

Some bits didn't seem well researched, like the 'German' accent of one character. Or the fact that there were 'words that seemed to be French' that nobody understood when something said the same thing in several languages and the French was pretty much the same as the English word (Like 'danger' in French would be 'danger' or 'péril', which would both make sense to an English speaking character). But apart from that, I really enjoyed it and most people probably won't even notice

message 482: by Daffodil (new)

Daffodil (daffodil--ripcranberry) | 1058 comments I read Once Burned (Night Prince, #1) by Jeaniene Frost and really enjoyed it. I liked Leila as a character and will definitely read more of the Night Prince books in the future.

message 483: by Ty (new)

Ty | 1943 comments A Rogue by Any Other Name (The Rules of Scoundrels, #1) by Sarah MacLean 3/5, ★★★★

squeaked this in. Loved finding out what happened to Penelope and felt this was a much better book than Eleven Scandals to Start to Win a Duke's Heart. Started with the audiobook but had to switch to print because I couldn't stand the narrator's take on male voices. She was so good with everything else but managed to make every single male sound pompous and smug...
