You are correct on the bonkers part of things for sure. Especially if the narration is not what you expected. But I've been told SK finds good narrators for her books. But still if it's not the voice or how I thought a character would sound, it would still be off.

Holter Graham is a great CON Narrator and has done all the CON's.He is my fave narrator for CON and DH..
That bit about Caleb always seemed more of a editing slip up to me,
Once you learn more about Kody perhaps your mind will change but i always liked her and thought she was good..
It's hard to answer any of your questions without giving away major spoilers.. But i always assumed that because Zeus took away Madoc's ability to hate he couldn't "Ascend" to Malachai status until after Nick was born and already took it... around that time the curse started to wane..
Grimm and Lagaurre are definitely not his friends.
Xenon has not been mentioned in a while and to be honest.. i really miss him :(
BTW isnt Nick just the best character haha :D Reading CON is how i got into DH series so he's always been my favorite of SK's kids.. :D
I actually forgot about Xenon, since Xev showed up.

Noooo, I liked Xenon! I want him back :(And don't worry, my questions are actually just me thinking out loud and writing my thought so that I don't forget anything that made me wonder!

I started the CON books 1&2 then realized it was a spin off and read DH.... I was rather surprised by the Genre change if you catch my meaning.. haha XD but i loved it and i totally get where your coming from :)
That is why I play hopscotch on certain CON threads. I want to know soooooo bad about the excerpts, but don't want to spoil the juice and have to wait a whole other month or so. So ignorance for once is bliss for me!

I personally had a speculation that maybe when Adarian finally escaped Noir he 'bumped' into M'adoc's mom who maybe nursed him back to health?? But that was just a random thought of mine.
Which brought the following questions to mind.
Were the Oneroi cursed before or after M'adoc's birth? (I know it was mentioned in the books but I can't remember:p)
Did Adarian escape Noir before or after the curse happened?
Side note: Adarian was over 7000 years old and M'adoc is over 3000 years old right?
I think Zeus cursed them well after Madoc's birth because wasn't Madoc one of the few there were especially tortured by Zeus, as example to all the others?Which leads to another question: if the curse is NOT what prevented Madoc to inherit the Malachai powers, what did???

I think it has to have been BEFORE, cause M'Adoc along with D'Alerian and somebody else are like on that Oneroi counsel or top policers of the Dream God folks. And supposedly him or someone else wasn't as emotionless as everyone thought or maybe they all were slowly re-gaining emotions at the same time. I forget how that was worded exactly.
Ok, I know I read it somewhere and my notes are not complete >.<Based on Dream Warrior:
-M’Ordant dumped Jericho in a Spartan prison camp 100 years after he was stripped of his powers (pg 97)
-in the 15th century D’Alerian put Jericho into a Turkish prison (pg 97)
-centuries ago Adarian went into hiding (pg 159)
I think it's Dream Warrior that talks about the curse, but I'm not positive. Based on the above page #'s I checked and M'Adoc was the third leader at the time.
According to wikipedia, Sparta was big from about 900's BC to 192 BC which makes it around 3k years ago? So M'Adoc is minimum 2k years old, likely 3k+ if he managed to become a leader of the oneroi before/when Sparta had prison camps.
By the time I'd finished book 8 I found that I really didn't like Savitar anymore just like how he treated Styxx in his book, he meddles in peoples lives and passes judgments despite his less than stellar past Ambrose was right to reset the past and connect with his mothers family, build his own team and become his own man. I can't wait for the crew to appear in Dark hunter
