Sarah | 13814 comments No. It has a very specific distance specification, and my TV room is not big enough for it. Also, no XBox.
Also, way didn't anyone tell the makers of the Playstation Move that Hitachi had already copyrighted that design?

Félix (habitseven) Huh what? I'm so out of touch.

Michele bookloverforever (lovebooks14) | 1970 comments I consider myself lucky I hooked up my dvd all by myself and can even use the controls now. I think you people are all way ahead of me. sign me, technical idiot.

Jim | 6484 comments My son just got an xbox - he saved up and bought it himself. May get him the Kinect for Christmas if I hear enough good things about it.

Do people still use Kinect?

message 7: by Chris (new)

Chris (bibliophile85) Yeah I've tried it.

I've never been much for motion sensor games. I think they're for the most part, still in the developmental phase and until the technology is perfected, I'll stick with a good old fashioned controller. :)

All that said, I do think Kinect is light years better than the Wii.....that thing is a piece of crap! Its nothing more than two Gamecubes duct-taped together....a slew of horrid third party games and abysmal motion sensor detecting....I wasted my 2010 tax refund on one of these and it was the worst financial decision of my life!

Okay...rant over :D

Phil | 11837 comments The Wii is great for Mario Kart and other Nintendo games. Wii Sports is a little weak, but the kids still like it.

message 9: by Chris (new)

Chris (bibliophile85) Oh completely agreed! Mario Kart kicked epic amounts of ass :D I also love Smash Bros. Brawl.

Its their 3rd party games that are bringing it down. Where did Nintendo's seal of approval go is what I want to know?

I feel your pain, brother.

Cloudedleopard | 44 comments I got Kinect. It requires at least 3 m distance and is really easy to use. I bought a game called "gunstringer" which is a lot of fun with Kinect and also some sports games like yoga and bodyshaping. No control device is really a comfortable thing.
