folders for future books

Although I was a proponent of keeping Currently Reading and Read separate before, I think we've been using the (Spoilers) and (No Spoilers) thread markings very well and could probably just condense each book to one folder, as long as we continue to be courteous about not blabbing spoilers without some sort of warning beforehand.
I'm trying to visualize a way to suggest to Otis to redo the folder and post management in groups, especially busy ones like this one. Any ideas?
I'd definitely love it if previous books' folders could be collapsed and therefore not take up a lot of room. And if you were interested in reading through it, you could just expand it.
I like the idea of collapsing folders as well for the previous books. Its great that this group is so active that we need to consider this!
I agree about collapsing folders.. and maybe some way in the title of the folder there could be a way to let you know if there are new posts under that particular folder that you haven't read yet.
Eventually, there will be so many folders that we will need an "archives" button or sidebar to manage everything that hasn't been posted in the last, say, 12 months. But collapsing folders should do for the next year or two.
Folders stop showing on the main group page after a certain amount of inactivity. Just upping that inactivity check to something like one week would suffice for me. Folders are good for organizing everything but they clutter up the main page so bad that I rarely do anything other than click the "unread" link.

For me, at least, it would feel less cluttered and be easier and more pleasant to read and post.
