So the NKOTB and Backstreet Boys are touring together next year. Clark, I think you should go. I will contribute eleven dollars, buy your next ticket to Emmylou Harris, and both organize and facilitate your daughters' next birthday party.

What do other people want to contribute to this cause?

Also, what would it take for you to experience this once in a lifetime musical collaboration?

You must really hate me, RA.

But if you threw in transportation to and from the show and covered my bar tab, I'd probably go. Something tells me a gig like that would offer up some primo people watching.

ms.petra (mspetra) RA, put me down for $9.37. I wonder what the crowd (if there is one) would look like? baby cougars? Is 98degrees on the bill as well? I never could keep any of the boy bands straight.
I think Clark should go just to have you organize the next birthday party.

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments Hm. I think Clark wants to get drunk and check out the soccer moms reliving their teenage years.

I really am THAT predictable, aren't I?

Me either, outside of The Beatles.

Ms. P and RA: Join me for a drink or two and an evening's worth of MILF harassment out in the corridor next to the merch stand?

message 9: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments I'll contribute $8.62, but only if he stays and watches, with no alcoholic courage allowed until the show is over. I am not Canadian.

You're all heart, Jim.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

I'll contribute $10, and, what the hell, I'll drive him to the gig.

message 13: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments Will you wait outside for him, or sit in another aisle so he isn't embarrassed to be there with a chaperone?

message 14: by Jammies (new)

Jammies I'll offer post-show cocktails and chocolate.

message 15: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments Go heavy on the cocktails to erase the pain. Poor Clark.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Who knows, I might be talked into attending the gig with Clark. Who know what kind of shit we'd stir with a bunch of MILFs trying to relive their teased hair days of misguided youth.

Sarah | 13814 comments Is this the time when I should admit that I have in fact seen the New Kids on the Block "live", for whatever that means? I had a friend whose father did A & R for Atco Records. Ozzy Osbourne rocked her to sleep. Her dad also worked with the New Kids opener girl group Sweet Sensation and got us VIP passes, complete with limo ride into backstage, where we were attacked by our peers until they realized we weren't the boys they were looking for. There was a stampede backstage. It was madness.

No, I'd keep that a secret.

I wonder if those idiots still do all of those synchronized dance moves on stage.

That shit is ridiculous.

I'm thinking you are going to get the opportunity to find out first hand :-)

Sarah | 13814 comments If we pay extra, do you think they'll bring Clark onstage and serenade him?

It can't hurt to try.

The very thought of that makes me want to turn in my man card, set myself on fire and go swimming in a lake of gasoline.

The sound guy must have left the Pro Tools kit backstage.

It looked like the guy on the end nearly got torched when those flash pots went off.
