Looks like this was a placeholder created by a user before the ISBNs were released. It's combined with the real editions already:http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/58...
Please delete this edition: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/50...And this one:
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/21...
Should we leave this will this little info? There is nothing on her homepage about it yet.http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/63...
Eva, We leave those. It's a placeholder for to be published books. When the ISBNs are assigned and an official edition appears in the database, we'll combine them and only then delete the place holder editions.Edit: Even if nothing on her home page, the member who entered it might have gotten it from her web site or another web site.
Edit: It's showing up plenty of other places:

I'm just amazed no one's rated it yet. Very funny and so true.
I entered this one: This World We Live In and put in title and #3 moon book and 2010 and the web site link. Someone else has added the book description. It is best to enter as much information as we have, but I've seen books to be published with just title & author.
Thanks Lisa- I'll remember that! Michael- I was thinking the same thing when I saw it. I read Tricks by Ellen Hopkins the other day and it's not out until Aug. Someone actually rated it a five star and put in the review section that they're going to try to see if they can make it a five star rating. Obviously a child but still pretty insane if you ask me. There are a few other people besides me who rated from the ARC though so I'm sure her rating was thrown off by now.
I just don't understand why someone would WANT to mess up the rating!
Needs a super- http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/35...
(The asterisks were so I could remember which needed to go by the way....LOL)

No, that's got a unique publisher and cover image.
That one is also a legitimate alternate. It has a unique cover. (And foreign editions sometimes lack ISBNs.)
Okay so if the listing has a cover that the other listing don't have it's okay to leave? And the unique publisher- if that's the case those are always left? (I want to remember this for future use.) I'm glad I couldn't delete those because I really thought they should go.

(I want to remember this for future use.)"Yes, if there's something to indicate that this edition isn't an exact duplicate of other editions, it should stay.
(On publishers, sometimes the same publisher will have a publisher name, an imprint name, a house name, etc., so you can get the same edition with two different publisher names; I'd try to research the publishers to be sure that they're variations on the same one before merging the books, though.)

It looks like rivka's on that one, so I'll leave it be. :)

Yes. Also, pre-1966 books are usually left too -- they don't have ISBNs.
Yes, that last one can go, but only when combine with the correct edition.

That rivka and Cait- I was just going to go hunting for the year before the ISBNs started so I could remember. That last one was already combined with something before I got there...I think. Thanks for the info guys!
I see- thanks for bringing that up. I never thought to check that it wasn't. That's something I'll have to remember. The guy who listed these was (and still sort of is) really confused. I've sent him three really long messages today (besides the one letting him know at first) and trying to help him. He had no idea what he was doing. He thought that was what he had to go through to list a book and he told me he was about to stop coming here.
So I've given him DETAILED directions on how to search for a book and I told him to try a few and then get back to me. :)
Looks like this is just a duplicate added by a user, title was even mispelled and no ISBN was added:http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/26...
Same with this:
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/26...
Niets, you're right! I'll get it once I get them combined -- there's a whole cache of John le Carrés here without the accent mark that need to be fixed....
I saw that- she'd entered a few multiples so I was going through those few when I saw the cover change. :) Thanks Melody!
Check me carefully here, but I think this one can go. The remaining book needs to be recombined with the other editions. Thanks!
Yes, JG - it should be deleted. I got it and combined the remaining edition with the others. Thanks.
