Please delete this edition of this book. It's a duplicate without ISBN. The version with the ISBN is already on GRs. Needs a super-librarian...;-)

Update- nevermind- I was able to delete it- I thought it wouldn't let me but it did. :)
I need a super-libriarian to delete this hand added edition. It is a duplicate of this work, imported from Amazon.

Looks like this was an edition added before the book's ISBN was released as a placeholder, the actual edition is combined now so I see no reason to keep this:http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/55...

Is there no way to make it so only librarians can add books? Or only certain people in general? Eva, I don't have time to combine and delete right now, but these shouldn't just be deleted. They are books and the users' intent is clear, so they should be combined first with other editions of the book, when needed first changing the spelling of the author so it's correct and then combining. Then, if someone is manually adding a lot of books that are already in the database, then it's great that you're sending them messages. If these are still here when I get back, I'll combine/delete.

(They did't require a super after they were combined.)

I know the way you mentioned is easier but what I was doing was sending the correct link to the user who added them so they could then use that one. Just wanted to mention that so no one thinks I was erasing listings! :)

Ok - this item is described in the "binding" field as a "literary journal." Am I right in thinking it's still considered a magazine? There are no ISBNs. I can't delete it if it is a magazine, because there are reviews.Thanks,

Thanks, Rivka!Here's another literary journal, but it does have ISBNs.
In fact, I ran a search for "Glimmer Train" and got 53 hits (one credited to "Due to Amazon Limits" which is a new one to me). Only two of them are actual books. Most seem to have ratings or reviews. I don't suppose there's any easy way to get ride of them? Or should I just "not a book" the whole mess?

That would be my suggestion.
I keep trying to delete this book and getting that annoying message about experiencing an error. I combined it with the other 3 versions, but this one is a duplicate without an ISBN.Is there any way to know what's wrong when you get a server error message?
I've wondered if it means more than one person has that item open--and if it doesn't, what does happen when more than one person tries to open a page for editing at the same time?

Nothing. Simultaneously trying to save changes would be problematic, except it presumably wouldn't really be perfectly simultaneous.

There are two edition. It was my fault -- i was trying to edit one and somehow wound up with two separate editions of the exact same thing. As far as I know, there only is 1 edition of this book.

Jenna, Ok, I got it. I actually couldn't find the real edition, but this one had a fake ISBN so I deleted it.
