Sherry, Someone deleted the book that goes with that link.

Most of her comments were review type notes (which the instructions say are not allowed) and better descriptions were to be had in the books to which her manually added books were merged, so I let most of them go. I don't do that lightly but in her case most of them went.

...I'm not sure how, but it's got an AISN that's the same as the ISBN of the MMP that came out. As far as I can tell, it's not a valid edition.

ASIN is the same as the 10 digit ISBN, and there's a 13 digit ISBN that converts from this 10 digit ISBN, so I think it is a valid edition, but it's already in the system. I'll try to combine it with the correct edition.

Ah, didn't know the ISBN-10 and ASIN were the same in books. Good to know. But anyway, it was still a duplicate entry...though I'm not sure how it happened. When I added the book as to-read, I did it by ISBN, but when I went to update my status on reading it, I'd somehow moved to the edition with only the ASIN.

ASIN is an Amazon-specific item. When there is a 10-digit ISBN, then use that as an ASIN. When there is not (such as Kindle editions), they create a unique 10-digit alphanumeric identifier.

Also, do you think this edition can be deleted? There's no ISBN, but the cover and publisher are the same as the most popular edition. The page numbers are off by seven though.

Sherry, These are not ok and we can delete them, I think. If there's a boxed set I normally combine with the boxed set then delete the "edition" but I don't see one here. Wait for Rivka or some other librarian to confirm about this though. Thanks.
