I'm starting to get really nervous about my book buying boycott for 2011. I'm trying to justify buying everything I see!

we can do it!! I posted a thread for us to encourage each other!! It can be done. We'll take itty bitty steps at first!
I don't think I listed my books yet so here they are:December reading list Some are Christmas themed, some I have wanted to read for awhile (so Merry Christmas to me)
0/7
1) Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor
2) A Christmas Promise
3) The Devil Wears Plaid
4) Desperate Duchesses
5) An Affair Before Christmas
6) The Christmas Brides
7) The Pillars of the Earth
Thanks Alycia, I've heard such great things about it so I can't wait. Also had to add another book, forgot Pillars was for my bookclub.

UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "I haven't put it up yet. But I'm reading 10."OOHHHH! I was looking at everyone's lists and noticed you didn't have one yet and I'm curious to see what you are reading :)
You know, the Pot Luck challenge is kicking my arse with having to stick to the books I'm reading. I mean, the only thing left that I'm hesitant about is
, but I have to read it. I've had it here forever and need to get it off the shelves. And to make matters worse, it's 1st person POV and that's really not my favorite. So for December, I'm just planning to "wing it." Or maybe I'll sit down and look at my shelves and choose things I KNOW I'll want to read.

I'm doing 9, which isn't many, but it's killer when you're a fickle reader like I am. I only have so many books to choose from with this challenge. The hardest one is
because I'm not much of an UF fan.
I am fickle too. i've seen good reviews for this one. Hopefully it is short. Or change your books :)
Red Headed Stepchild is good Dhes, and the second one is even better. If you like the sassy, kick ass heroine you should like it. But I am a big fan of UF so I may be bias!
I've actually had it listed for a few other challenges and bailed before even opening the book! So this time I'm determined to give it a real chance! :)The only other UF I've read and liked was
and... and... there's one other but now I can't remember what it was... hmmm....
I haven't read that UF, I will have to check it out. You shouls try Jeaniene Frost's, Night Huntress series that is so good, and I think you would love Bone's : )
Suzanne wrote: "I haven't read that UF, I will have to check it out. You shouls try Jeaniene Frost's, Night Huntress series that is so good, and I think you would love Bone's : )"I think she would definitely love Bones!
OMG, Bones...If you think I love Gage....you won't believe how obsessed I am about Bones...
Dhes, you own the series but haven't read them yet????
What is WRONG WITH YOU????????
READ THEM!!!!
Ugh..such goodness. Bones is literally To.Die.For.
(however, he's MINE)
:-)
LOL!!!:-)
hey..Suzanne... remember what Bones did to those guys in the limo who wanted to kill his woman??
Just sayin...
dont get in any limos any time soon....
keep your hands to yourself!
How about a compromise, I will let you have Spade and Mencheres from my harem, sound good?Hehe don't worry me and Bones will be steaming up the windows somewhere else ; P
No, thank you. Do you not see I'm branded? <--- He's claimed me, and its out of my hands! Now I have to leave and wear him out..I mean meet him for dinner --- steam windows with someone else!:-)
*sighs* I would like to really I would, but well, he insists on having me, the man want what he wants *shrugs* who am I to resist his many and rather large charms *waggles eyebrows* : D
Yep, it is all told from Cat's (the heroine's) POV, I know that most people don't like 1st person POV, but they are such awesome books they are worth trying out anyways.
That's good, Red Headed Stepchild is good, no where near a good as the Night Huntress series though!
It's getting better because I'm finally getting into the writing style. It's picking up, but I'm only 35 pages in, so I don't know the plot yet.
I thought I had already put my name in, but anyway, I'm in!I'm going to spell SANTA for my December challenge
Seduction Island
All the Right Reasons
Nauti Intentions
The Italian's Inexperienced Mistress
Arousing Love
Angela wrote: "I thought I had already put my name in, but anyway, I'm in!"You might have, and I just missed it. But you're in now! :)
Bekah wrote: "I don't know what this Red Headed Stepchild is all about??? Is it good?"It is good, it is an UF about vamps and mages. The main character is called Sabina, and she is half vamp and half mage, which is a major taboo. It is really good, well worth ago, especially if you like UF.
Melanie wrote: "60 books for me:-) I'll put up my list next week:-)"Taking it easy this month, I see. LOL Glad to have you!
Goodness, Melanie. You are like a reading machine!I'm gonna strive for 15 this month as I haven't been doing very well in November! But hopefully I'll have way more since I'll have Christmas break from school :D
Okay, I decided what my challenge will be. As I'm a sucker and I've signed up for a bunch of challenges in the busiest month of the year, I'm going to take it easy here. :DDecember's Build My Own Challenge
