UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I'm starting to get really nervous about my book buying boycott for 2011. I'm trying to justify buying everything I see!

message 102: by Alycia (new)

Alycia | 1478 comments Lol. So you are hoarding in anticipation? I figured I could justify that at Christmas time

message 103: by Bekah, Fellow Kleypasaholic (new)

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments we can do it!! I posted a thread for us to encourage each other!! It can be done. We'll take itty bitty steps at first!

Alycia | 1478 comments Lol Katherine! Good list. Can't wait to see what you think of the Medieros book

message 108: by Katherine (new)

Katherine | 828 comments Thanks Alycia, I've heard such great things about it so I can't wait. Also had to add another book, forgot Pillars was for my bookclub.

message 109: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I want to read The Devil Wears Plaid, too. Maybe I should buy. Or have I already?

message 110: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Nope, don't have it yet. You know what that means................

message 111: by Alycia (new)

Alycia | 1478 comments LOL! Buy it before the new year :)

Where's your December list missy?

message 113: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I haven't put it up yet. But I'm reading 10.

Alycia | 1478 comments UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "I haven't put it up yet. But I'm reading 10."

OOHHHH! I was looking at everyone's lists and noticed you didn't have one yet and I'm curious to see what you are reading :)

message 115: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments You know, the Pot Luck challenge is kicking my arse with having to stick to the books I'm reading. I mean, the only thing left that I'm hesitant about is Red-Headed Stepchild (Sabina Kane, #1) by Jaye Wells , but I have to read it. I've had it here forever and need to get it off the shelves. And to make matters worse, it's 1st person POV and that's really not my favorite.

So for December, I'm just planning to "wing it." Or maybe I'll sit down and look at my shelves and choose things I KNOW I'll want to read.

message 116: by Alycia (new)

Alycia | 1478 comments That's probably a good idea. How many are you doing for the pot luck?

message 117: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (last edited Nov 23, 2010 11:41AM) (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I'm doing 9, which isn't many, but it's killer when you're a fickle reader like I am. I only have so many books to choose from with this challenge. The hardest one is Red-Headed Stepchild (Sabina Kane, #1) by Jaye Wells because I'm not much of an UF fan.

message 118: by Alycia (new)

Alycia | 1478 comments I am fickle too. i've seen good reviews for this one. Hopefully it is short. Or change your books :)

message 119: by Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) (last edited Nov 23, 2010 01:45PM) (new)

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 630 comments Red Headed Stepchild is good Dhes, and the second one is even better. If you like the sassy, kick ass heroine you should like it. But I am a big fan of UF so I may be bias!

message 120: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I've actually had it listed for a few other challenges and bailed before even opening the book! So this time I'm determined to give it a real chance! :)

The only other UF I've read and liked was A Rush of Wings (The Maker's Song, #1) by Adrian Phoenix and... and... there's one other but now I can't remember what it was... hmmm....

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 630 comments I haven't read that UF, I will have to check it out. You shouls try Jeaniene Frost's, Night Huntress series that is so good, and I think you would love Bone's : )

message 122: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Thanks for the reco, Suzanne. I own that series, too. Just haven't picked it up yet.

Regina (reginar) Suzanne wrote: "I haven't read that UF, I will have to check it out. You shouls try Jeaniene Frost's, Night Huntress series that is so good, and I think you would love Bone's : )"

I think she would definitely love Bones!

message 124: by Bekah, Fellow Kleypasaholic (new)

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments OMG, Bones...

If you think I love Gage....you won't believe how obsessed I am about Bones...

Dhes, you own the series but haven't read them yet????

What is WRONG WITH YOU????????

READ THEM!!!!

Ugh..such goodness. Bones is literally To.Die.For.

(however, he's MINE)

:-)

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 630 comments Lol What she said *points up*

Although she is wrong about one thing, Bone's is obviously mine!

message 126: by Bekah, Fellow Kleypasaholic (new)

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments ((shaking my head)) the delusional lives of some...

:p

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 630 comments I know, some people, completely deluded : )

*grabs Bones* It's okay baby, I won't let them get you!

message 128: by Bekah, Fellow Kleypasaholic (new)

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments LOL!!!

:-)

hey..Suzanne... remember what Bones did to those guys in the limo who wanted to kill his woman??

Just sayin...

dont get in any limos any time soon....

keep your hands to yourself!

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 630 comments How about a compromise, I will let you have Spade and Mencheres from my harem, sound good?

Hehe don't worry me and Bones will be steaming up the windows somewhere else ; P

message 130: by Bekah, Fellow Kleypasaholic (new)

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments No, thank you. Do you not see I'm branded? <--- He's claimed me, and its out of my hands! Now I have to leave and wear him out..I mean meet him for dinner --- steam windows with someone else!

:-)

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 630 comments *sighs* I would like to really I would, but well, he insists on having me, the man want what he wants *shrugs* who am I to resist his many and rather large charms *waggles eyebrows* : D

message 132: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Is it 1st person?

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 630 comments Yep, it is all told from Cat's (the heroine's) POV, I know that most people don't like 1st person POV, but they are such awesome books they are worth trying out anyways.

message 134: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Well, I have them so I'll read them. But I think I'll work my way through Red headed first.

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 630 comments That's good, Red Headed Stepchild is good, no where near a good as the Night Huntress series though!

message 136: by Bekah, Fellow Kleypasaholic (new)

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments I don't know what this Red Headed Stepchild is all about??? Is it good?

message 137: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments It's getting better because I'm finally getting into the writing style. It's picking up, but I'm only 35 pages in, so I don't know the plot yet.

message 138: by Angela (last edited Nov 23, 2010 09:07PM) (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Angela wrote: "I thought I had already put my name in, but anyway, I'm in!"

You might have, and I just missed it. But you're in now! :)

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 630 comments Bekah wrote: "I don't know what this Red Headed Stepchild is all about??? Is it good?"

It is good, it is an UF about vamps and mages. The main character is called Sabina, and she is half vamp and half mage, which is a major taboo. It is really good, well worth ago, especially if you like UF.

message 141: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (melaina) | 638 comments 60 books for me:-) I'll put up my list next week:-)

Taking it easy this month, I see. LOL Glad to have you!

message 143: by Leah (new)

Leah (leahkarge) Goodness, Melanie. You are like a reading machine!

I'm gonna strive for 15 this month as I haven't been doing very well in November! But hopefully I'll have way more since I'll have Christmas break from school :D

message 144: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments I know what you mean, Leah. I'm struggling to get through 9.

message 145: by Leah (new)

Leah (leahkarge) I just hit 9 yesterday! By this time last month I had like 15! D:

Alycia | 1478 comments I like your challenge Dina

message 150: by Dina (new)

Dina (missdina) | 718 comments Yeah, I had my mind set to reading 12 Christmas books for the 12th month, but it would be impossible to read 12 full-length books. Then, I came upon these quickies I have stored in my PC and voilá, here I go! :)
