Bekah wrote: "Curse you Dhes!!!!!"Me? Why me??? LOL Cuz you can't control your book buying any better than I can?? LOL
How did I miss this thread I am in! I am not sure what I will do probably a clean up challenge and try and read all the books I have outstanding for other challenges
Suzanne wrote: "How did I miss this thread I am in!" Hell if I know! Did you get the email notice, or are you opted out?
I think I just wasn't paying attention! I love challenges I find it almost impossibel to opt out!I have no luvk with fictionpress it always always crashes on me : (
No, if you get the club price, it's like $25 per year. I don't buy enough to make that worth it, but with the 50% off, I saved a ton without the membership.
Suzanne wrote: "I love challenges I find it almost impossibel to opt out!"Well, that's an understatement right there!
well...I had 14 books in my cart and then had problems cuz it kept wanting me to pick my format..which was strange cause there was no where to pick a format...so I ended up only getting four...the other ten..i don't think that it will open on my nook.
so i'm super bummed... I'm not overly fond of that website!!
Hey Bekah, you don't actually pick your format until after you make the purchase. Once the books are purchased they go into your Fictionwise Bookshelf and you can choose the format you need from there. As long as the book you purchase says MultiFormat next to the title you will be able to read it with your nook, or any other eReader. (just make sure that you do not purchase the books that say Secure eFormat next to their titles)So once, the book is purchased and in your Fictionwise Bookshelf, this is the list of formats that will be available for you to download:
MultiFormat:
eReader [-er.PDB]
ePub [.EPUB]
Adobe [.PDF]
Microsoft [.LIT]
Palm Doc [.PDB]
Rocket/REB1100 [.RB]
Franklin [.FUB]
Hiebook [.KML]
Sony Reader [.LRF]
Isilo [-is.PDB]
Mobipocket [.PRC]
Kindle [.MOBI]
OEBFF Full VGA [.IMP]
OEBFF Half VGA [.IMP]
I don't have a Nook, but I'm pretty sure the format that works best for the Nook is ePub. Just download the ePub version to your eReader.
BTW.. The sale is still active today so it is not too late yet!

I will be participating. I will be reading Christmas-themed books all throughout December. I will post my list later.
Bekah, you must go to "Help" at Fictionwise and scroll down to Kindle and it will take you to the steps you need to do to set up Fictionwise on your Amazon account etc. You have to do this before you can download. The same thing happened to me and I was like WTH and getting really frustrated.
Cyn, after reading Bekah's post (post #68), it sounds like she has a Nook not a Kindle.. Bekah, do you have a Kindle or a Nook?
I'll play again.To finish any outstanding/ending challenge
The Devil Wears Plaid by Teresa Medeiros
My Lord Scandal by Emma Wildes
Christmas Themed
The Christmas Brides by Linda Lael Miller
A Christmas Promise by Mary Balogh

Will do, Dina. I have about 32 Christmas themed books picked out, but I certainly won't get all those read. :)
Wow, 32? I don't keep a separate shelf for Christmas themed books so I don't know how many I have. I'm organized, but there's room for improvement. :)
Bekah, I hope you're able to get it to work. 50% off is excellent savings, of course, and who doesn't like to save.Though, I don't like saving so much that I won't spend on books. LOL
Bekah wrote: "Cyn wrote: "Bekah, do you have a Kindle?"Nope, a Nook!"
Sorry, I couldn't help. I have a Kindle
Dhes, I bought 5 more today...4 yesterday, and then I bought the Virgin River series 1-4 bundle. I believe that I have officially put my pocket book away.Hopefully for the rest of the month - at least where books are concerned. I mean its really a problem. Ugh...
Cyn - Its ok, I really appreciate you just being here and offering. Makes me feel warm inside to know I've got friends here watchin my back!! Thank you.

But at least you're not alone. Maybe we should all be quarantined. With our books. In the same house so we can share said books?
Maybe...I don't know...but someone needs to start exercising some self control. I tried to put a ban on book buying in October...clearly that didn't work. Now I'm hoping to not buy in Jan and Feb. The only books I'll buy are group read books and anything from a series I'm looking forward to.
I will even have to resist those great 50% off blowout sales!!!!
Bekah, as I suggested before, send me your credit cards and I'll make sure you don't go on another buying binge because I'll have maxed out your CCs.

Well, good news/bad news....I actually can read those secure e reads from fictionwise...So...............
I bought em.
NOW I'M DONE
I'm going to participate. I'm not sure if all will be Christmas theme. Will get list together a post soon.
