i like crappy B movies about creatures from the blue lagoon and everywhere else...such fun!

E Shue...I dont remember her in Piranhas (i think i won't remember piranhas unless I see it again...) but i think she was in Leaving Las Vegas and Hollow Man and this other movie where there is a massive power outage in the entire city and everyone goes maniacal.

I think we were doing better actor for the role or am I in the wrong place?

Kevin Spacey and Julianne Moore are the main actors in "The Shipping News" The movie was O.K.. In the book both characters were physically different and not particularly physically attractiveat best. KS and JM are good actors but I think their lives would feel even more limited to the audience if they didn't have looks going for them. I would have chosen Phillip Seymour Hoffmann instead of Spacey even though I felt he did a good job. Reminded me of his role in American Beauty. But I didn't think JM was that effective. Maybe I just found her too attractive . I think Glenn Close who can change her appearance so drematically and can steal a scene would be better.

Interesting recast picks. I agree on Glenn Close. I also agree that Hoffman would've been a good pick. I would've picked Oliver Platt.

Minority Report didn't seem to add anything by picking Tom Cruise as the lead role. Albeit it was totally different than the PKD short-story character. Going by Hollywood mainstream standards wouldn't Clive Owen have been a better pick?

The best Cruise role I've seen in a while is his performance as the producer in Tropic Thunder. Perhaps because it's the least Cruise-like.
