Sorry, Rossy, I'm looking through my library, but I can't find anything that fits all of that. Any idea how old it might be?
I wish, can't even recall how long ago i read the series....the thing is that i get the inkling it's one of those older series published by Ellora's Cave or something like that...totally losing it trying to figure this out.LOL
LOL! Yeah, I hate it when I can't place the name of someone/thing. I'll keep looking and let ya know if I find anything close. Let us know if you find it. :)
How 'bout: Bitten by Sherri L. King? It was pub by Ellora's Cave; out in 2004; "Moon Lust" series, I think. Main dude, Nikolai, is from mtns in Russia and meets up with Julia who's a hotel clerk & studying art in New York. Not sure about her father's journal, but her parents are dead. She has to tie Nikolai to the bed ....
OMFG that is the one!!! You know, now that i think about it a GR friend mentioned the book Bitten, but i thought she was talking about the Women of the Other...she's going to kick my butty!LOLThank you Steph!

LOL!! YAY! I'm so glad I could help. Once someone throws out a question like that, I become just as eager to find out the answer. :) Glad that's right.
I need to find a better way to keep track of every series i have read or will read. I don't want to go through this again and am sure am still missing a lot that i have not entered in my GR bookshelves.
I use a program (Mac) called BookPedia and I couldn't live without it at this point. It tracks all basic book info as well as misc stuff that allows me to do all sorts of searches. It's saved me in situations like this many times. Worth it's weight in gold, IMO. I don't have even 1/2 my books listed here @ GR. I'm too lazy to enter them all. :) Not sure if it'd help you or not. But, it's become my book brain. Loading her up is a pain, but after the initial add, it's quick and easy. I could go on and on about it, but I'll save you the sales pitch. LOL!
Sorry, it's only Mac compatible right now. But there's another program, I used prior to switching to Mac, called Book Collectorz which is compatible with both Mac and Windows. The website is: www.collectorz.com. There's also a bunch of info on the "how do you track your series" thread that might be of some help to ya. :)

*They might have been wolve shifters
*In the first book the hero and his family lived in an isolated mountain away from humans.
*When they shift, they are complete animal without human thoughts....if i recall correctly.
*One of the heroines father had done some research on all the shifters around the world, he left her a journal detailing his findings
*In one of the books in the series the hero goes to the city and while staying in a hotel he finds his mate. Because he cannot shift while in the city, he asks her to tie him up in her bed with really heavy ropes....i think he was afraid of claiming her or something too.
*They cannot avoid the pull of a full moon. In fact they start to feel it a few days before the night as a warning.
