Sarah | 703 comments I totally understand. Same thing happened to me a few years ago. I deleted my account (mistake!), but I really had to start doing hw.

......Same thing with me, but there is no way im going to delete this account.

Anyone want Jase??

message 353: by [deleted user] (new)

Me having one character is enough for me. If it comes down to it then I will take some other characters but only if absolutely necessary.

Kk he is yours...

message 355: by AJ (new)

AJ I just finished the Son of Neptune (got it yesterday...) and I must say it was a marked improvement over The Lost Hero.

It had a much faster pace than the first one and the three main characters I found far more interesting than those from The Lost Hero. Also, Riordan's humour seems significantly less forced in his Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus series than in the Kane Chronicles.

While Riordan still relies on his trite "Doomsday Deadline' plot device and is far too kind to his characters, I still had to give The Son of Neptune a 4/5.

You're so critical :) I've never analyzed a book as much as you do. Its either good, or not. Most of my ratings are actually 4 and 5.

message 357: by Honey Hawthorne , Excited to be back:) (new)

Honey Hawthorne | 1188 comments Mod
I rate based on how much fun i had reading it

message 358: by AJ (last edited Oct 28, 2011 08:48PM) (new)

AJ Yeah, I'm with you there Honey, as much as I may analyze a book, I almost always rate it depending on how much I enjoyed reading it.

message 363: by Katerina, ARE YOU WATCHING THE OLYMPICS?!! (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1096 comments Mod
Klymene is actually a legit greek name.

I've always loved the names Xanthe and Marpessa. Actually, have him read the Adele Geras books, they've got tons of good names.

You changed your photo....

message 366: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Careful, because Klym doesn't like when people change their photos.

message 367: by [deleted user] (new)

Psh, I change my photo so much, mainly between fav characters of different tv shows or just stuff that I think is cool >.<

Right now its my character on here/Allison Scagliotti (SP?) from Warehouse 13

message 368: by Katerina, ARE YOU WATCHING THE OLYMPICS?!! (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1096 comments Mod
Haha. Yeah. I get confused easily. That's why I don't like it when people change their pics.

Is that a new nickname, Way? I've got Klymy, and now Klym? Its strange. In RL, no one has a nickname for me. The only ones that work with my real name are really annoying and ditsy sounding

message 369: by [deleted user] (new)

You guys should call me Tward :P

Mix of Akward and Turtle.

Way? Way is a new member of the group.

message 370: by Katerina, ARE YOU WATCHING THE OLYMPICS?!! (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1096 comments Mod
Yeah, but I invited her. Actually, I semi-forced her, and semi-persuaded, and semi-begged her to join. We're in, like 4 other groups together, including secret Mod groups.

Tward... Tuta-ward? Like king tut. and ward.

message 371: by [deleted user] (new)

Ha, so like you >.< btw I like your voice (xbox). I replied to your message, I dont have a microphone so I couldnt use my voice but I replied. ^.^

You have a very nice voice, maybe you should record audio-books for a living, I hear they make bank.

No, something easier then that. -

Turd! XD

JK JK

Um....

Just call me... Ak!

message 372: by Katerina, ARE YOU WATCHING THE OLYMPICS?!! (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1096 comments Mod
The great Auk. From knowledge masters? Have you done that?

Thanks. Its kinda awkward, saying I have a nice voice.... but thank you. And I don't think I have patience for audiobooks. I only recorded because using the controller to reply took FOREVER. And then I clicked something and then it all disappeared. Thank goodness for the voice message.

message 373: by Hannah (new)

Hannah | 74 comments Yeah u so did that Klymy. :D

message 374: by Katerina, ARE YOU WATCHING THE OLYMPICS?!! (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1096 comments Mod
So did what? click something and make it all disappear? Of course I did! It's totally something I'd do. Anyways, I thought it'd be fun to send a voice message. (And easier, but pretend you didn't know that)

message 375: by [deleted user] (new)

Auk! CALL ME AUK! That is so perfect. Gah! you are a genius.

And yes, it is kinda akward but some people just have nice voices... people in general have 'voices' but you have a very nice voice.

So yes, nice voice.

Feel free to message me more on there. ^.^

I'll get around to it... eventually. My dad didn't want me to make a FREE xbox live account, so he doesn't know. I'm trying my best to avoid him knowing. And I've also got tons of work I should be doing... like right now....

message 377: by [deleted user] (new)

Why? They offer you the silver accoun... why not take it? You just dont get all the stuff that gold members (like me) get.

message 378: by Hannah (new)

Hannah | 74 comments I be not a member on xee-boxee.

So now you are the GREAT AUK eh? Hmm...

message 379: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, Kly came up with it. I love it, so I named myself it. ^.^

I'm changing my photo back now anyway. It was for halloween.

So my bro and I are walking through every floor emptying out all of the bowls of candy people left outside their apartments, ((u no some people do that when they wanna give candy but don't wanna c people)) then we step out of the elevator on floor 29, and it is pitch black. We walk out and the elevator door closes behind us and I'm like "brother?? brother??" and then out of nowhere this flashlight comes on this guys face and he starts like evil laughing..... I almost had a heart attack. That guy really likes halloween.

message 381: by [deleted user] (new)

That or he's a serial killer/rapist who is totally creeping on you/your brother.

Just a though, btw - always have a knife when walking around in the dark.

message 382: by Honey Hawthorne , Excited to be back:) (new)

Honey Hawthorne | 1188 comments Mod
Lol... That's a good tip.....

message 383: by [deleted user] (new)

Hope he's going for your brother (no offense to your brother) cause you know, your brother can fight him off easier (if he's buffer than that guy).

Just buy some pepper-spray, we have some in the house and if were walking around our neighborhood we always have it. ^.^

message 384: by Katerina, ARE YOU WATCHING THE OLYMPICS?!! (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1096 comments Mod
Goodness Gracious. Those were the 7 funniest posts I've ever read.

A) Honey's Halloween story.
B) Great Auk. Need I say more.
C) Honey's potential creeper.
D) Hannah's accent that doesn't actually exist.

My mom's giving me strange looks.... Good thing she can't actually see the computer screen.

message 385: by [deleted user] (new)

Well its true, I'm REALLY paranoid, it runs in my family (along with a few other mental problems >.<).

My sister when she is alone and paranoid always had a steak knife with her and jumps around the corners of the house ready to stab someone.

My mom taught us that when your walking in a dark parking lot and you have you keys out always have the one you need inbetween your middle fingers so that you dont drop it + if someone tries to grab you you can jam it in there eye.

Oh and also my sister knows how to pop out a persons eyeball.

Gee... tough family. Ya my bro was buffer than the old dude but he was so scared he almost peed his pants. His maturity level is like a three year olds.

Kly, I have mastered the art of hiding the comp screen from my mom. My mom strategically placed my desk so that it is facing away from the door ((this is her trying to trick me into thinking I can do whatever without her seeing)) but every time my mom walks by she can see the reflection in the window ((the catch)). I found the perfect angle do that se can only see a very thin piece of my computer where I always have microsoft word open. ((this is me being a genius))

message 387: by Katerina, ARE YOU WATCHING THE OLYMPICS?!! (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1096 comments Mod
Haha. Hahaha. I just about died laughing. Sadly, it doesn't work for me. My desk is placed facing opposite of the door. If I'm lucky (or fat enough) I can manage to shield the whole screen with my body (lap top). But then it looks like I'm being guilty.

So I work on my bed, so that the top of the laptop is facing the door. Ha! but then my dad complains about the money he had to pay for the desk, etc.

Good for you

and

I'm sorry? If you want some cash tutor young kids. It's really easy cause like if you tutor a 2nd grader in math it is just like addition and whatever.

I'm planning to teach piano! Its a great way for me to show the colleges that I have leadership AND business aspects in me!

message 397: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, why would I want to help kids with their homework?! I have enough of my own!?

Blegh - I have been thinking of bagging groceries or something.

message 398: by Katerina, ARE YOU WATCHING THE OLYMPICS?!! (new)

Katerina (klymene) | 1096 comments Mod
No, you can do so much more than that. Think about it, be creative.

message 399: by Honey Hawthorne , Excited to be back:) (new)

Honey Hawthorne | 1188 comments Mod
I guess that cool too....

I really like teaching other kids though. At school I tutor 2 girls and 1 guy from my class in French and 1 of the girls in math, science and history. She has dyslexia so I help her out a lot.... I also help my cousin with his reading. He is like 11 but he can't read because he has really bad dyslexia.
