"A few more days of life and inches of living space, is the only difference between an organic chicken, versus a conventional chicken"
HELP!! Is or Are??!!
HELP!! Is or Are??!!
No, It's from Micheal Pollan's Omnivore's Dilema, the YA version. But I was writing a paper on how much I think organic foods are not legitmate.
Ya we read part of that book (chapter 12) in class after watching food inc. (michael pollan is in it) and reading food rules..............
it is a unit on food
it is a unit on food
Micheal Pollan's book is pretty good for a nonfiction book. I have trouble reading nonfiction books. Surprisingly, I got through Pollan's book very easily. The fun fonts helped and so did the pictures...

How about a gorgon?
Tough to fight.

How about a gorgon?
Tough to fight."
a gorgon *she said rubbing her chin*

Finding a creative way to kill it without looking at it or being bitten by the snakes would be cool.
As would be creating its lair.
Help(again) on my research paper.
how can I re-phrase this to make sense and so that it is easier to read?
"What part of the process of growing or raising organically was different with organic food?"

Maybe...
Is there really any difference between growing food organically than growing food non-organically?

here's the context.
I once held on to three common beliefs about organic products. I believed they were earth friendly, from small, local farms, and were grown sustainably. As I thought more about this, I began to doubt my belief. How were organic foods more earth-friendly than conventional foods? What part of the process of growing or raising organically was different with organic food? Suddenly, what I once thought was a simple, “that’s just the way it is”, started creating countless questions. I was determined to find the answer through a newly given research project. As I researched, I found many answers through the eyes of Suzie May, an organic consumer.
I meant, like, what do organic farmers/cattle raisers do different to raise produce or meat?

Or maybe....

How is the raising of a chicken on an organic farm different than that of a conventional farm? ((if you want to explain through an ex.))
