Jasmine quietly strode around the fields, practicing her nature-magic as usual. She was trying to make a particular sunflower get larger, but it was already as tall as her where her knees were.

Jasmine pulled her attention away from the growing plant, though her hand hovered over it encouragingly. "Hi Avery," she greeted, with a ghost of a smile.

"Out for a jog?" Jasmine asked, half jokeful as she studied Avery.
"Cabin Eight?" Jasmine found the words coming out of her mouth before she realized it. Her demeanor didn't change visibly, but her gaze went back down to her sunflower. "When did you move in?" she asked quietly. You should have seen it coming, Jasmine. Nothing can last forever, especially around you.
Jasmine thought about this, then looked back up at Avery. "Not to sound like a demanding b*tch," she began carefully. "But I'd rather hear it from you."

A light in Jasmine's eye glinted and then went out, and she shook her head. "Say no more. I hope you like the Artemis cabin. Kill me a monster, will you?" she asked in attempt to lighten the mood. Who was she kidding? Nothing ever went right. She was getting her hopes up just for them to come crashing down, as always.

"I would, but I have no fighting skills. Maybe I can get this sunflower to strangle him," Jasmine suggested dryly. The bright yellow petals of the flower now brushed her waist, feeding on her nature-magic.
"I can't fight, Avery," Jasmine said with a wave of her hand, accidentally sending the flower coiling around her waist. "It's like trying to get an Aphrodite to fight."
((Good? o.O))
"I can't fight with weapons," Jasmine began. "Like dagger fighting? Not my thing. Dagger throwing? I can do that. I can do hand-to-hand combat pretty well, though."
"I can't fight with weapons," Jasmine began. "Like dagger fighting? Not my thing. Dagger throwing? I can do that. I can do hand-to-hand combat pretty well, though."
Jasmine shrugged. "I don't really need to train in fighting all that much. I'm as good as I'll ever get."
"I see no need for me to fight," Jasmine replied calmly. "I've never needed the skill before, except to train."
