Well, I've finished my November challenge with Pale as the Dead. I haven't liked it. I don't know, too sad or strange.

My challenge has been:

Family: Pale as the Dead by Fiona Mountain
Thanksgiving: Murder, She Wrote A Fatal Feast (Murder She Wrote) by Jessica Fletcher
Books: The Lies That Bind (A Bibliophile Mystery, #3) by Kate Carlisle

Melodie (melodieco) | 5280 comments I'm waiting to see if my Donald Bain book comes from PBS so I can finish the last of my November books! I've done the 2 categories already.

Sherrie (vampirekisses2) | 426 comments Does anyone have any ideas for December?

I was thinking Christmas/New Year's and since it's World Aids Awareness Day maybe a book with a red cover? There isn't much to go with December and I didn't want to do another food theme.

Wright Brothers day is December 17th, maybe a travel theme? Alabama also entered the Union on December 14th so maybe a book set in Alabama? December 28th is Call a Friend day, so maybe a book recommended by a friend or loved one! Hope these ideas help!

There's also Pearl Harbor Day, so you could do something to do with WWII. Max Allan Collins has a great one The Pearl Harbor Murders (Disaster Series, #3) by Max Allan Collins !

I like the idea about toys and stress free, and "Call a Friend Day", perhaps not only recommended but books where friendship is important (I don't know, his/her friend are in trouble, something like that).

❂ Murder by Death (murderbydeath) Or perhaps where the sleuth investigates with her best friend?

Deb Baker has a Doll Series, John Lamb has a Teddy B..."

Those are great ideas Kari!

Jan (libraryhag) | 82 comments Well I am almost finishe with Homicide in Hardcover Homicide In Hardcover (A Bibliophile Mystery, #1) by Kate Carlisle but I totally zoned the Thanksgiving book. Just put The Diva Runs Out of Thyme The Diva Runs Out of Thyme (A Domestic Diva Mystery, #1) by Krista Davis on hold but I probably will have to read it in December. Oh, well, it sounds really good so I will be a bit behind!

Melodie (melodieco) | 5280 comments Just marked my challenges done. Didn't get a book read by the author of the month. I've been the only one waiting for a copy of the book I wanted on PBS for 2 weeks now. It was turning up on there like crazy early in the month and as soon as I come to the top of the list the supply ran dry!
