Hi, my name is Michael and I'm... sorry, wrong group. My name is Michael and I'm new here. As long as it's a serif font I'm generally OK with it. Felix Titling, a serif font, is fun to say.

Sorry, should have quoted. :)
Previous page there were a bunch of images referring to "San Serif", which is actually incorrect terminology. :)

I prefer sans serif - Trebuchet, Tahoma, Verdana. A bad typeface in a book can reduce the pleasure of reading, as can yellowed pages or weird smells.
Yes! I just finished a book with way too much white space. There were two thin columns and a sea of white. I realize that some of the pages had images, but it was very distracting.
Incorporating images can really wreak havoc on a book's design. When it's done well, of course, it's great. But sometimes it leads to those strange, extra-wide margins like the ones you describe Carol. Makes it seem more like a magazine than a book. I think a bad layout sometimes leads me to take the text less seriously, though probably it shouldn't.
It definitely did make me think less of the author's expertise on the matter - which was bookmaking.

Yeah, you're gonna have no problem fitting in.

Oh dear.

I'm reading On Beauty. Every page I try to turn results in two or more pages turning, and this is seriously reducing my reading pleasure.
Did GR just change the font and size of the comment typeface AGAIN???
It suddenly seems super tiny.
I just wish they would stop.
