I just finished this book. I did enjoy the story. I was glad that no one died at the end. This book is more about forgiveness. I'm glad that Miles was able to (somewhat) forgive Sarah's brother. The way Miles was driving when he had Brian handcuffed, I was afraid that he was going to wreck or hit someone. I was also afraid Sarah who was following them might be involved in a wreck. You never can tell with Sparks. He doesn't mind killing peole off in his books!

This is my favorite Sparks book. I was obsessed for lack of a better word when reading it. I hadn't really read much in a long time and once I picked up this book I could not put it down. I felt like the characters were real and I wasn't just reading some made up story. I really felt Miles pain through out. I loved the ending with the two candles. I even told my husband the whole story. This is one book that should be made into a movie.
Just finished reading this book yesterday. I have to say its certainly one of my favourites of his. A truly wonderful emotional story x
