Have you read these yet?
Previously, I have read
Recruited
A Secret Life
Disappeared
Father Figure
The Pursuit
and
Close Quarters
All were fine books. Quick reads. None of them were as FANTASTIC as the TV series though. I'm a little disappointed in how boy crazy they make Sydney out to be. I suspect, however, it's because the books were written for young adults. What do you think about this? Have you noticed?
I'm wondering if the APO books will feel as juvenile as the prequels.
In the end, I really don't care one way or another. They're great books to read in between some of the more serious and literary stuff! Fun, quick reads. :)

No I haven't read any books, yet! I'm currently reading Strategic Reserve, and it's pretty....I guess you could say professional! It's strictly based on the series, so far! So yeah, I plan to read more of these (like you said) fun, quick reads!
Did you ever finish Strategic Reserve? It's still on your profile... I haven't read it yet and it's been months since I bought it. HA!
Nope! I just picked it up again the other day, but I had to stop and write a stupid paper for school! Yuck!
Blah. Was it at least on a decent subject? I suspect that you won't have much time to read for leisure for the next several years. That's what school does for ya... hee hee
School is freakin' awesome! So, are you 100% college now, or are you in the advanced HS program where they make you finish the last couple HS classes, but then you get to take the fun college stuff. Part of me wishes they would have let me do that in HS--I almost left school a year early, but I didn't have my final English credit, b/c my HS wouldn't let me take it until Senior Year.
Well, I guess I shouldn't complain. That was a long time ago, and my path would have been totally different if I'd gone to college early--I never would have done theatre as a career. (Of course I'm not doing that now, except for on the side...) Ok, Amanda's stream-of-consciousness mode is acting up. I'll stop now.
What are you studying? Did you pick a major yet?

Haha! I am in the Accel Program...the advanced high school program. and yeah it is pretty fun, but sometimes annoying! My major ( I have to choose one for the program) is Foreign Language, but it isn't my major! I want to go to the University of Georgia and major in International Relations with a minor in Foreign Language/Linguistics! I would love to major in theatre but..........i don't know! I love theatre , but it seems hard to get a job in theatre! Is it?
Depends. Acting, yes--it's hard to get a job in acting. And directing? Right out of college? No way. But any good school will have job placement assistance, or at the very least will tell you to go to SETC. My undergrad program didn't even tell me about SETC until I was a senior, so I missed out on summer stock opportunities the entire time I was in college. Bummer. Anyway, I was a stage manager, so jobs were NOT hard to come by. Almost everybody does a paid internship their first year or two, which is what I did and it was AWESOME!!!
Yeah I am applying for a paid internship! Not in theatre though! But yeah stage managing for a living sounds awesome....acting even better! but it seems too unrealistic to me! but obviously it isn't!
Anyway, my new adds are 2 prequels and 2 APOs:
Strategic Reserve
Faina
Shawdowed
and
Infiltration
