While working on my Masters of Science in Environmental Studies, I read The Diversity of Life by Edward O. Wilson. Wilson's explanation of the importance of biodiversity is an argument for preserving every one of God's creature's, from mammals the size of whales to microscopic organisms. All function in making the miracle of life, and Wilson shows how the loss of some through ongoing human encroachment has robbed us all of immeasurable resources and beauty. In The Creation: An Appeal to Save Life on Earth, he continues to argue for the sanctity of life from a scientific and spiritual perspective.
