Ooh, one last question. John, did you have all the knowledge you needed from your travels to write TWT or did you need to do additional research?

To answer your question, Lahni, my travels provided me with most of the info I needed re my research. But, when I needed to make sure that I was right about a particular religion or place, of course I consulted my friend, Google. :) I'm around for a few more days if there are any final questions. Thanks again, everyone, for reading my novel. Happy holidays! - John
Just finished it and really, John, you have a gift!!. I left my review here on GR and on my blog:Book Nazi
Thanks again Lori and John!!!

Oh it was wonderful and wish I could do it all the time! You are a lucky person and a great moderator!!
Thanks, Donna, for your kind review! :) I'm sorry it took me so long to thank you--I just returned from Thailand, where I was doing a bit of final research (just confirming some things, really) on my next novel, Cross Currents. It's a novel about the tsunami, and is a big page-turner. I'm quite excited about it... I hope that everyone's 2011 has started out nicely. Best wishes, John
John you must have had a wonderful time in Thailand! Do you go aboard often when you are writing a new book?
Tracy, well, I went to Thailand to do a final bit of research on my tsunami novel, Cross Currents. CC is set on an island in Thailand called Ko Phi Phi. It's a slice of paradise that was hit very hard by the wave. Basically, I went back there just to make sure that I had everything right... Happy Friday, everyone! - John
A question for all of you: I'm thinking about my seventh book, and where it might take place. Would you perfer Japan or Australia? Thanks! - John
You don't read many books about Austrailia but I do enjoy Japanese books so I am not too sure! I am no help LOL
I like the idea of Australia because there don't seem to be as many books set there as there are Japan.
John wrote: "A question for all of you: I'm thinking about my seventh book, and where it might take place. Would you prefer Japan or Australia? Thanks! - John"My first reaction would be Japan. To me there is something exotic and kind of mysterious about the culture there.
