Glad you liked it, Gail.
I got a card from Janine. Okay who told her I was a soak? Oh and yes I recognise the label, it's a beer we export, people rarely drink it here.
Hey, I got a postcard from Janine, too! Of stacks and stacks of books that don't look like they're in any kind of order. The book part is appealing, but the disorder is completely distressing to me. ;)
Can I help Jackie? I love putting books in order.
It could take me a while, I tend to get distracted.

No no leave the picture alone, come order the mess of reality in my house, I've got hundreds here. Wouldn't that be fulfilling!
I got two postcards, one from Gail and one from Janine! Thanks guys! I'm still working on my drawing...I'll get it done...soon, I hope.
I got one from Janine today! Super cool, and it had an awesome painting of pies and pastries on the front.
Thanks, Dutch friend!
Thanks, Dutch friend!

I got a post card from janine and kept forgetting to slog through the billions of TC threads to come here and tell. I LOVE IT! It's an art-deco type painting of a woman reclining on a couch with her feet up on a pillow reading a magazine. It doesn't look as though there are any children in her house! It makes me so happy I have it pinned up at my desk at work just above my phone. Thanks janine!
i'm glad you like it so much. i bought everyone's cards (except for kevin's, petra's and britt's) at a book store that has a great collection of postcards with books on them. it was very difficult not to buy every postcard with a book on it.
Ms. Petra, I think I figured out why I didn't get your post card yet...an extra 8 was added to my address when they were forwarded. I noticed it today when I got Sally's Christmas card, then I looked back at the other post cards and sure enough they all had an extra 8. But then again I did recieve the other post cards so maybe that's not it?Btw, thank you Sally! My daughter saw Leah on the card and said, "Oh my god, she's looks like the Gerber baby only prettier." And she does! You make pretty babies Sally!
FYI regarding my address, it's just 1718 not 17818 :)
I got Saller's Xmas card today, how unexpected! It's sure is beautiful, a gorgeous shade of blue. And Alecia is so right, Leah IS a contender!Yes, where is Kate?

yes, mail deliverers are on strike because they don't agree with lay-offs. it's been going on for three or four weeks now i think.
smetchie wrote: "What's going on in your profile pic janine?? Is that a typical holiday activity?"i'm skating on skates like this:

the ice is one of the ditches on my father's farm. i learned to skate on that ice (i think i'm 5 in the picture). it's not very deep and not connected to any other open water so it is one of the first save places to skate in the winter.
I received a postcard today, but I can't tell who it's from. It's written in red ink, and the penmanship is lovely
It's a little late, but I wanted to thank you for organizing the whole postcard shebang, which was really a super idea, Britt.
Me too, thank you so much Barb.
