If no one else signs up, would y'all like two groups of of 4, and one with 5? Or 4 groups of 3 and one with 4 people?
2 of 4 and 1 of 5 if that's the choice. I'm getting a bit nervous now. What if my postcard ideas aren't up to scratch?
Gail, I wouldn't worry about it. We're all friends here, and we're just excited to be getting cards from one another! I'm sure your ideas are great!
Ideas? Hmm...are we making these things from scratch--as in scissors and glue, etc.? Hadn't really been thinking along those lines...Is the interesting store-bought image okay too?
Okay, so it feels like this thread has been up for longer than 3 days, but since it's only been three days, I'll give it until Wednesday. I really wanted to assign groups today, buttttt no.So the deadline is Noon, Wednesday October 27.
Yep, I plan to hand pick each persons postcard. (Not make them by hand.) The search for the right postcard will be fun.
If I draw your name, Gail, I promise to hand pick the carrier pigeon who will wing the postcard down to Australia. Have to find a healthy one...

Yay, I promise to feed it for the return journey.

Jesus do I have to sign up AGAIN to get on the list. I'm in forgodsakes! I'm in. You already have my address, right Britt?
I'm confused as to what to do? Is this like a shebang exchange, one postcard for each participant? Do I write a personal note to each person? Do I sent the cards to Britt? When do I send them? So many questions! Sorry! Confused!
You don't send the cards to me. Everyone is sending the cards themselves.Okay, this is how it's going down.
When everyone has signed up, I'm going to assign the groups. After I assign the groups, I'm going to send EVERYONE a message with their group members' addresses. You then address your postcards, write your personal note or whatever on the card, stamp each card, and put them in the mailbox.
This doesn't work like the mix CD shebangs. Everyone is mailing their own cards.
Here are the groups. I'm trying to find out if there's a missing person, so if you signed up, and you don't see your name here, then message me. If not, I'll be sending the groups the addresses tomorrow.Group 1
-Alecia
-Sally
-Lori
-RA
-Kate
Group 2:
-Janine
-Britt
-ms.petra
-Kevin
Group 3:
-Gretchen
-Gail
-Jackie
-Jonathan
No, it's here only once, but I dunno why I had you listed twice. I'm afraid that I meant to type in someone else's name, and I put yours for some reason. But I posted the groups to double check.
Okay, I've sent out the addresses to everyone now. If you did not get a PM from me, please let me know. Tip: Just in case you didn't know this (I didn't for a long time), if you are sending a postcard, and you are in the US sending to someone else in the US, you don't have to get a 44 cent stamp. You can use a 28 cent stamp.
I put my group's in the mail last night! Everyone's getting a different one. I wonder if I should have kept records of who got what for future shebang postcard events.
Damn, I haven't purchased the postcards yet. Thats tomorrows task.
Oh goodie, I don't feel like I am letting you down now. :)
I'm buying cards today and hope to mail them on Monday--except of course for yours, Gail, which I will instead 'pop in the post' to you.
I've got the cards. Now what do I write?
Okay got it.
Dear Jackie.
"SALLY IS THE COOLEST"
and Larry isa dirty scoundrel a sweetheart.
Love Gail

Two things.
1) The size of the stamp was almost as big as the post card, grrrrr.
2) My handwriting is shit. It used to be something I was proud of.
Ummmm, yes I have posted them. Australia Post is extremely efficient so if you don't have them tomorrow the fault is at your end.

Gail, I just had a couple move on my route that has lived in your fair land for the last 12 years. :)
I can't imagine why they would want to return once they experienced life in Oz. :)
i bought my last two cards and wrote something on them. writing cards is difficult! i'll post them this evening or tomorrow.
Are we required to write something witty...cuz I got nothin at the moment! And I got your post card RA...thank you!
