Thanks, Sherry. I fell just short of the shortlists for two other South African awards (got an honourable mention and a longlisting), and I wasn't even aware that I was in the running for this award, so it's a nice surprise.

Thanks! I spent two weeks in Sweden trying to reunite ABBA. Agnetha backed out again and then the others couldn't stop bickering about the order: BAB, ABB, BBA.

Fortunately, the good news was waiting for me as I was crossing the bridge from Sweden into Denmark.

Hope this will help bring a US publisher to the bait.
