Mary Beth | 82 comments I think alligators are pretty quiet... unless you hear it's mouth chomping down on it's dinner! Eew! That's grotesque! It definitely would hear me to, because I would be screaming running, into my house. They can move 25 miles per hour though, at least! They wouldn't be able to fit in my house though.Rattle snakes can make holes in the ground, and slither into your house. Eeek!!

No, no, no! No holes in this little house of mine! I'm not even letting mice in.

Tadiana ✩Night Owl☽ | 1090 comments We have rattlesnakes, a few desert tarantulas, tons of wolf spiders (so lovely when you see dozens of baby spiders on the mother's abdomen, in your house :p ), and mule deer that eat your bushes and flowers.

My husband and our dog once got in a fight with a bobcat while hiking on the mountain behind our property. By the time that story had made its way around the neighborhood and got back to me, he had shot a cougar in our back yard. Lol.

Ewwww! Especially to the baby wolf spiders! We have deer, too, and elk which not only eat their way through the world, but take down fences, too, kind of like elephants do (well, I think they do, since my only experience of elephants is from watching Elizabeth Taylor in Elephant Walk).

Cougars and bobcats are so hard to see that they make the old heart stop when you do- and that yowling! If that doesn't make your blood run cold, you have to be bloodless! I heard one once underneath our deck (it was 10' up) in our old house in the mountains, and it made me lock the doors and run hide upstairs.
