How many books in the iBookstore?

I am not sure it is possible to find the exact number of books at apple. I read a blog recently where they estimates about 30,000-50,000 titles. Yes, this is far beLow what amazon and B&N offer. I do not like searching for a book in the iBooks store. I mostly use kindle for iPad.

I just discovered that they have free books for ibooks too--- yeah! I also love the nook app for the IPAD. does anyone else have any bookstore rec's?

My novelTemperature: Dead and Rising is offered for all those devices (or apps). As far as other store apps the sony reader site has one also.
