I'm pretty sure neither Henkes nor Meyer have anything to do with this book. There's no mention of it anywhere in connection to them other than listings for this title. I can't find any proof that the book actually exists, either. (And I went through the entire "Chicken soup for the soul" backlist catalog.) The worldcat records shows Henkes novel Olive's Ocean, which I'm pretty sure is an error.

I merged it with Olive's Ocean, so as not to lose the reviews which are obviously for that book, but am not sure how to fix it.

Why?

willaful It was the only place I saw that associated this ISBN with that book. I suppose it is quite possible, given the internet, that they're right and every place else is wrong.

WorldCat gets their data from actual libraries. Therefore they frequently are correct when many other sites (a LOT of whom get their info from Amazon) are wrong.

Anyway, Amazon has the same title. They just have a bunch of extra authors, and some additional data that seems to have come from another book.

willaful I looked at the Worldcat entry again - they also have all the extra stuff, but the cover of the Henkes book. So there's an error somewhere. I don't think the publisher can be right either. "Paw Prints" looks to be very small press.

Stacey (booksavvy) | 34 comments Paw Prints is a small press. I looked at Baker & Taylor (where my library orders books from) and the information that WorldCat has is the same info there. But, this book is also listed as a Chicken Soup book. Yet the reviews and notes are the same as the Newbery Honor book "Olive's Ocean."

My guess is that Paw Prints has the rights to print a library binding edition (which this is listed as) and for some reason has incorrect author and series data. I would remove the extra authors for the time being and if someone ever gets their hand on a copy of this new edition, we can reevaluate it then.

Just my two cents. :)

That's my guess as well. IIRC, we've seen similar library-binding-editions of popular books from them in previous discussions here, and with similar data problems. I'd guess they produce very small runs with very limited distribution and thus data on them is hard to track down.
