Ancestral Gaidheal (gaidheal) If you want to discuss the current book of the month, " The Mists of Avalon " here is the thread for it.

Kathleen (kittenspk) I just finished this book last week and absolutely loved it!! What do you think of it so far?

Lavender (lavendercrystalbear) | 111 comments How did I get to be group leader? Lol. I guess I better get reading

Ancestral Gaidheal (gaidheal) I tend to appoint (at least for the purposes of filling out the blurb on the form) those who nominated the book. I did write a warning about this on one of the broadcast messages.

Ancestral Gaidheal (gaidheal) So, how are people finding this month's read?

For my own part, I never finished it (one of the few books I just couldn't force myself through). Many people recommend it to me, but it just wasn't for me.

message 6: by Kathleen (new)

Kathleen (kittenspk) I tried to read it awhile ago and couldn't finish it, then over the summer I picked it up and actually really enjoyed it.

Ancestral Gaidheal (gaidheal) Kudos for being persistent Kathleen. I tried several times, but finally relented and gave it to someone who appreciated it.

Lavender (lavendercrystalbear) | 111 comments I'm mure of a researcher. I have difficulty finding time for fiction when there are so many things to learn. Sorry guys

message 9: by Mawgojzeta (new)

Mawgojzeta I loved the book. I was 15 when I read it and 20 (or so) when I re-read it, so my opinion may not be the same anymore. If I finish my other book soon, I will pick it up and try the "read it at 38 (or so)".

Lavender (lavendercrystalbear) | 111 comments Lol. My shamanism instructor. Absolutely raves about it. That's why I bought it and recommend it. I just have too many interests books and otherwise. Not enough time

Old-Barbarossa | 591 comments It's a stinker.

message 12: by Megan (new)

Megan Fox | 22 comments I loved this book, I read it about 12 years ago. I also read the books after it. I should probably read it again though, but I still remember it well.

Ancestral Gaidheal (gaidheal) Not quite related to the book, and a little related to the reason so many left Goodreads (or spend very little time here any more), i.e. author behaviour, here is an article about the author of these books: " Marion Zimmer Bradley, Abuse, and Cautionary Tales ".

[Trigger Warning: This post discusses the sexual abuse of children.]
