I would like a hard/zip case for my Kindle 3!

Can you help me find one? I did a bit of searching on ebay, and all of what I found were cases listed for the 2nd and 3rd generation. As most of you know they are different dimensions, so I don't want to order a case that will be loose/tight. I want a hard case that zips around the entire Kindle. I'm a student, and will be tossing it in my bag often! Thanks in advance.

Try searching for zipper kindle case on amazon. There are several. I happen to think that My Oberon Designs cover is the bestest Kindle Case ever, but YMMV. When I don't want a full cover, I use a Timbuk2 sleeve, which is also quite secure.
I bought a black vinyl notebook cover at Walmart for $7.95 which is the perfect size. The Kindle fits into the slot for the pad of paper that came with it and I can carry it anywhere.
I went to borders and bought a great cover from their e-reader selection. Padded, quasi hard case, magnetic snap, pretty color - works for me. I just didn't have the patience to wait for Amazon to ship and I needed to be able to put the Kindle in my purse right away. The Kindle cases might fit better, but..imediate gratification and all that ;-)
Well, out of frustration I ordered a regular leather case (with a great design on the exterior!). I'm hoping that after a few months there will be hard, zip cases for the new generation. I searched high and low! Most of them claimed to be for the new Kindle, but then would mention the extra inch in the pocket. Some were just "sleeves" and I wanted it to be book style as well. Not as good as a surprise as you had, but I found out the same thing ... my order from LLBean arrived, totally confusing me, because I nearly got my arm stuck in my mailbox looking for actual mail today!

I will admit that I checked the mail as well after receiving that UPS package. When I headed back up to my place the landlord made me out for a fool by saying "I hope you didn't check the mail today...". *sigh* LLBean has a great reputation for quality stuff! :)
LLBean is awesome. I made pilgrimmage to the flagship store in Freeport, Maine for the first time this year. They have a giant boot (the ducky splashers) out front.
