Are the same, but one misses a dot. I don't know how to edit the wrong one without losing information of the author.
Please help.

I fixed it. If you click the author profile there is an option to edit the author. You correct it, then it will ask you to merge the profile. Pick the most popular profile (in this case P.D. James, which has the author bio and information and is also the correct way for the author's name to be written on GR).

Thanks. I was affraid I wasen't allowed to pick one and lose the other. I thought they had to be merged somehow.
