Adastra | 4 comments I've noticed that the "sort by title" is supposed to look like this:
harry potter and the half-blood prince (harry potter, #6)

But I'm thinking that it would make much more sense for PROPER sorting if it would look like this:
(harry potter, #6) harry potter and the half-blood prince
harry potter, #6 (harry potter and the half-blood prince)

because then the books would actually appear in the correct order on bookshelves. Currently they are sorted alphabetically, so the order of them on my shelf is #2, #7, #4, #6, #5, #1, #3 - well, messy.

Has this idea been discussed before?

Kaion (kaionvin) But it's sort-by-title, so I think it should, I don't know, sort by title. Suppose sort-by-series could be a different option.

Cait (tigercait) | 5005 comments Since series are now in a separate series field, they're are going to be removed from titles altogether as soon as the series display is finalized. The ability to sort by series separately from sorting by title will be available then.
