Courtney I was just thinking of adding Meg to my featured author thread - your comment made me decide to do so! I love her :)

You should definitely add Cabot to your list. I read size 12 is not fat and it was so funny. I'm going to read all of Judy Blume's books this year b/c I missed out on them when I was younger.

Just as Long as We're Together is one of my childhood favorites.I hung a poster over my bed of Patrick Swayze as Johnny, just the same as STephanie's picture of Richard Gere.
So I know yesterday was when I was supposed to "Report in" but I think I forgot, lol. I'm at 30/111.

When I was growing up you don't want to know how many pictures of Patrick Swazye was on my wall...LOL
I am not a fast reader so I don't think I am going to make it with this challenge. :( I am going to be lucky if I get 100 for the whole year :(
I'm nervous about the 111 challange either. I have to read an estimated 9 books a month. Some months I read 10 or 11, but some months I only get to 3. It'll be by the skin of my teeth if I make it.
Well I am doing better than I thought I would I read 10 books last month and I didn't realize that I had read so many so maybe I can do this after all..lol though I have only read one for this month so far but I am working on about three..lol.
I read more now than ever because we don't have cable and I read while my son watches his programs (Sesame Street and Bob the Builder).
I am doing so horrlbe this month with my reading compared to last month. :( I must step up the pace a little.
Are we still doing this? Did everyone switch over to the challenge from GR? I'm at 63/111. Over halfway there. I need to add some more books for Bobo, but he's at about 220 I'd say. He reads lots of comics with his daddy when I'm not home. He also looks at his comics while I'm reading my book at night. I really need to get a picture of it for my profile.
I forgot to talk about the adult books I read as part of the challenge. I enjoyed The Sugar Queen and Club Dead, but didn't like Crown Jewel, Confessions of a Shopaholic or Carpe Demon.

I'm actually planning to do this. I'm part of the Goodreads '2011 Reading Challenge' and I'm now 77 of 111.
Haven't checked in for a while. I'm at 92--more if you count the picture books I read for work (I'm a children's librarian).Has anyone else noticed this phenomenon: Sometimes a fat book takes only a couple of days to read, when a significantly skinnier book can take a week or more? I seriously think you read faster when you're totally drawn into the story.
Oh I forgot about this challenge! I was planning to do it. I've read 76 books since January 1st this year but I don't think I've read any that aren't my normal kind of books.
I just went back through and marked the books from the last couple of months. I'm done and I didn't know it! 111/111 COMPLETEIf you are interested, you can see all the books I read this year here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/...
