Heidi Here are my speculations:

Wedding: We have to see how Bella's parents and friends react to her getting married, and I'd like to see the actual wedding, not just hear about it afterward.

Jacob: He's obviously got to have a role here, but I'm not sure what it will be. Would he try to stop the wedding, even though he knows it wouldn't mean getting Bella? Will he imprint on a female werewolf who maybe is jealous and tries to hurt Bella?

Bella's transformation: What will this do to the treaty? Will the wolves go hunting for the Cullens, now that Jacob isn't there to stop them like he said he would? When Bella is changed, will Edward still feel cold and hard to her touch? How do you think she'll react as a newborn? What do you think her special power will be, if she has one (and they've hinted pretty heavily that she does).

Alice: We need to hear the rest of her story. They've hinted at it in at least the first two books, and we know she has a living niece. Will she try to find her and figure out what happened? I hope so.

What do you think? What are your questions?

Britt I hope there's another book. I felt satisfied enough with the way this ended but definitely hoped for more.
I have also think the Volteri will be very interested in Bella after she is changed. I also wonder if Bella is realy going to go through with the "change", part of me wonders if she still have some lingering doubts. If she does "change" I am very curious about how that will be for her. I am also curious to see if after she changes, it will be so different that she wil go through immortality with a deep regret, because of being 18 and shortsighted.

I thought maybe that Jacob might become another one of the Indian legends, but that was before I heard the talk of another book.

I wonder also how the author wil handle all the sexual issues, because this is a young adult series and she's put that off so well and kept it so clean. I have liked that, but clearly with an impending marriage the characters are moving into adulthood.

Cassandra Their making twlight into a movie and it might be coming out next year. I can't wait until the movie comes out because the book was really good. I also can't wait until the next book comes out. I think she's coming out with two new books. I know one of them is going to be in Edward's point of view

message 4: by Amber (last edited Aug 25, 2016 01:55PM) (new) - rated it 3 stars

Amber I'd like to see how the fight in eclipse gets turned into a legend. 'The spirit wolves and the cold ones formed an alliance...'

message 5: by Leigha (last edited Aug 25, 2016 01:59PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Leigha Burkhalter i am with all of you on what i hope she puts into the next book but i am not so sure about what will happen to jacob. i mean he ran away and everything so i am anxious to see if he will come back.

message 6: by Melissa (last edited Aug 25, 2016 02:02PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Melissa I do not think Bella will become a vampire, nor do I believe she will remain with Edward. The next book may be about sacrificing her true love, Edward. Bella will realize she can't give up her life...her family...her friends...having children..."real" marriage. So she realizes she can't become a vampire & can't marry Edward. Disappointing, as I really love their relationship. I'm not sure what will happen between Bella and Jacob, but I worry he will "imprint" with another. Just my thoughts...

message 7: by Anthony (last edited Aug 25, 2016 02:04PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Anthony I agree with the last comment. There's no way Stephenie will succumb to our beliefs and wants; it would be boring if it all went smooth and all...no. Edward will die: I know it.

message 8: by Marissa (last edited Aug 25, 2016 02:05PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Marissa Mendez i think that Edward and Jacob will get in a fight and Bella would get hurt

Julia Of course, Edward and Jacob will fight every once in a while, but it's never been physical. Always verbal. I think that Jacob will die because....... I don't know..... that's just what I think.

message 10: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Good grief! Stephenie NEEDS to put something riveting in the next book! Like freaking war and death! I'm so done with the story revolving around Edward and Bella's twisted boring relationship!

message 11: by Jodi (new) - rated it 5 stars

Jodi I believe the movie is scheduled to be released on Decmeber 12th 2008.

message 12: by Beka (new) - rated it 5 stars

Beka i am really hoping to see the two of them finally get married and bella fully integrated with the Cullen family. Jacob.... well, I could really care less about Jacob. He distracts me and I just want to hear more about Edward and Bella. Also, I think that when Bella finally changes, I think she will have an increased power of persuasion. just my random thoughts. :) can't wait for the next book!

message 13: by Holly (last edited Jan 31, 2008 03:04PM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Holly Yeah, i heard that the movie will come out on the 12th of December too. And i can't wait because i think the first book was the best one out of them all. The only thing i have a problem with is who the picked to play Edward. Robert Pattinson doesn't fit his description at all.I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Jessie Okay I do not agree! I think she should totally marry Edward. What's true love with out sacrific?! If she loves him, what does it matter if she can't have kids, she'll still have him! Who says she won't have a life! She'll have a new exciting life of a vampire. Her friends, sorry to point this out, but really her best friend is Alice. And Alice is a vampire. I mean she has other friends, but really? Her family, once eshe's a couple years into being a vampire she can go visit them! Now it might be hard on Charlie, maybe, he'll find a girlfriend, but she's a vampire! That would be so cool! I think Bella and Jacob should stay friends. I loved how win she realized how she loves him, as more than just a friend, but has to leave him for Edward. I think it's great. Although I will miss Jacob. I wonder what will happen with Jasper. I like him.

message 15: by Holly (last edited Feb 08, 2008 10:36PM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Holly That is very true i really like Edward to, just the way they describe him*sigh*. But seriously what's going to happen to Jacob? I feel so bad for him but i still can't get why they couldn't pick a better actor to play Edward.

Denae Christine Bella's "power" is something to do with her mind. That has been more than hinted at. Also, she is so anxious about craving human blood. That hasn't been hidden in the books. That's the only thing she really dreads.
She is safe inside her own mind. Edward told her that. I don't think she'll thirst for blood like the others. Oh, sure, she may have to have SOMETHING (animal) to stay strong, but I think her transformation will be different in that sense. Problems solved.
She can still visit her family and act like a normal person as long as they don't realize she isn't aging (and she can seriously put that down to plastic surgery or something that her rich husband bought for her).

Holly O.K heres the deal, i'm so lost. Why is everyone saying Bella can't have children? I didn't read anywhere in all three books that says she can't, so where are you all getting it from?

Jessie Because she implies that she can't have children. Also we don't know if Edward will go through with his side of the deal, you never know, he could back out last minute, the fight that would happen...

message 19: by Sara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sara butler I think Edward would go through with the bargain simply because it's what she wants and I think he knows that it's the only way for them to stay together. Also, for Holly's comment, I think it'd be really weird if Meyer had a half-vampire, half-human baby come into the mix and it seems apparent that vampires can't have kids because I'm pretty sure Esme would have had some by now if she could.
I hope that Jacob imprints on a different girl and that he and Bella stay friends even if she does get 'changed'
and on the movie, I actually don't really want to see it because there is no way humanly possible for the movie makers to make a normal guy, actor though he may be, into something as devine and perfect looking as Edward. Make-up and CG can only go so far! And what about his voice!? Ah.... I don't know, I guess I'll just have to see and wait

message 20: by Leslie (last edited Mar 14, 2008 08:34AM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Leslie Deleted.

Leslie Vampires can't have children, can they?

message 22: by Sara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sara butler Leslie, dear. I think that if there was a way for Edward to become human he would have already done so. Also, thinking that Ed and Jake could combine into one person is kinda graping at straws. And about Meyer's LDS background, I'M LDS TOO!!!! And having Bella turn into a vampire doesn't clash with an LDS background

message 24: by Holly (last edited Mar 06, 2008 08:19PM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Holly Now I'm satisfied, i finally found out why Bella can't have children. I got on imdb and it said that Bella can't have children here you can read it. "A vampire's only bodily fluid is its venom, which replaces all other bodily fluids. Thus, vampires have no sperm, so they cannot make vampire babies. Also, when a vampire is changed, they stay the same way forever. Frozen. If a woman is pregnant, she will remain pregnant forever, no matter what stage her pregnancy was in, two days or eight months."

message 25: by Sara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sara butler Leslie, sorry, sorry, didn't mean to sound rude. But I found out something else, in a discussion w/ Meyer, Meyer said that Bella would indeed become a vampire except it wouldn't be when or by who people are expecting. Also, Meyer hasn't made it clear whether or not becoming a vampire actually means giving up your soul. She even has Carlisle express that he feels that they keep their souls.

Holly, thanks for the info, that makes sense

message 26: by April (last edited Feb 25, 2009 02:14AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

April I think that we will see a return of the Volturi, I have a feeling that the Cullen family maybe viewed as a threat to them after they got ride of the newborns. So I think there will be another epic battle in Breaking Dawn.
I hope we hear more from Jacob, I'd like to see what his future holds-just as long as it doesn't involve Bella!
As to Bella becoming a vampire, well it would be nice to not have her be so frail and helpless all the time!!! Enough with the damsel in distress already! I'd love to hear more of Alice's story, but I'm afraid there's not much there considering she has no memory. So how far could that go?

As for the movie, I've already decided I can't see it!!! I've read the spoilers on Summit production and it's really nothing like the book and I hate it when movies are LOOSELY based on their books. So a big BOO on the movie from me!!

April So I was just reading the comments and I stumbled on this. All I can say is that a writer will write what they will, regardless of their religion. I feel bad you where at an LDS meeting house talking about a "fictional" book as if it were gospel doctorine! Ugh, it makes me shudder. I'm also LDS and that kind of behavior doesn't help with the image-you know what I mean!!!
I've researched Stephenie Meyers ALOT and these books are part of her imagination, so for Sister Catherine to boldly say what she will or will not do in her book is presumptious to say the least.
Lets just remember it's a fictional story, and that the author just happens to be LDS. That's as far as the connection goes.

message 28: by Sara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sara butler April, thank you! Exactly, it's the author that's Mormon not the character. And you're exactly right about Bella, she needs to be able to fight for once!
I'm actaully starting to wonder if it won't be the Volturi that end up changing Bella because they want her abilities. Guess we'll have to wait til August to find out.

Amber April, Just what I wanted to say! Hooray for writers that have a mind and imagination of their own.

Leslie I do think it's fabulous that Stephenie Meyer seems to have a moral code that she's following. It's nice to have a male lead who's not just trying to get the girls into bed (well, you know what I mean) ...because Edward did get Bella the bed in his room!

April Thanks Sara!

April Amber thanks too!

I was checking out a fan website, and there's was some rumor that Stephenie Meyer said that Edward won't be the one that changes Bella?? That it will be someone no one expects?? This is just a rumor, but I'm extremely curious to see if it's true.

Does anyone know how to speed up time??

Holly I guess you could read another book for now like me.I've read Eragon and Eldest and i love them.

April I'm reading Leven Thumps and the Eyes of the Want by Obert Skye, but it's just not the same experience. I get so caught up in these books that it seems like I'm actually in them. I know that happens to alot of people and this series, I wish I could find another book that would mimic that.

Leslie Sunshine by Robin McKinley is an excellent 'vampire' book!

April Thanks for the suggestion Leslie. Any others out there?

Holly Now i really hope this doesn't happen. What if before Edward changes Bella something happens to her and she dies? I know it sounds terrible, but what if it happens? What will it do to Edward?

Katie . supposedly Carlisle's spent pretty much his whole vampire life in medicine and Edward has how many medical degrees? Why can't they get some human tissue and research what exactly in the venom turns them into vampires and work on an antidote or something like that?
And it's already been said that Bella and Edward will get married, so that's given.
Somehow the Jacob portion of the story will have to be resolved, and you can be sure the Volturi will also be involved. As to what else may happen, we'll just have to wait and find out.

Leslie Good point, Katie!

Jessie That would be so cool! But didn't they say that she would become a vampire, so what if... someone changes Bella (not Edward) and Edward finds away to become human again. Would he sacrafic a life of being a human to be with Bella. Who's probably different since she was changed...

message 41: by Lisa (new) - rated it 2 stars

Lisa Bella is changed by Rosalie (for irony sake)and because it's a snap decision to appease the Volturi.

Jacob is changed by Tanya (who is summoned by the Volturi) and takes a fancy to her.

Carlisle does his research and realizes it's hemoglobin that they need,(not all the blood) so now Bella can ingest the stuff without worrying about the rust and salt smells.

Charlie hooks up with Irina (which works because of the synthetic hemoglobin thing).

They can manufacture synthetic hemoglobin and everyone is happy and living forever after, except for the Volturi who are ripped apart by the remaining werewolves.

Just a thought. Anyone going to buy that bracelet on the Twilight teez website?

This has been an interesting (one month) ride for me. Lots of coincidences and synchronicity with these books. I got Twilight for my birthday, and on the same day, my husband got me a necklace with a wolf on it. So, you know who I want to be happy!

Rachel Leslie,

I am LDS too and I have to say, this "Sister Catherine" sounds like she is teaching her own personal doctrine, NOT our Church's beliefs. I don't think that Stephenie Meyer is trying to base her series on the Mormon faith. Instead it is merely a good fantasy novel. Members of my church don't believe in vampires at all, so what difference does it make if Meyer turns Bella into a vampire or not? The only part of LDS doctrine that I can see evidenced in these books is the fact that Edward believes in sexual abstinance before marriage, which I commend.

message 43: by Sara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sara butler Thank you Rachel, beautifully put!

Meyer's mormon, NOT Bella!

message 44: by [deleted user] (last edited Jul 23, 2008 12:19PM) (new)

well, holly, i dont think its possible for bella to die in the transformation because a) if the book starts with the wedding, then i imagine the transformation will come soon after, and if she died then the book would be awfully short, and b) she narrates the book, (its in 1st person) so how could she die?

Trey (charles) Edward and Jacob will get killed and Bella will comete suicide.
