Hi Miles. What did you think of the last book?

wonderful book to be honest. I'm going back through the series to review the rest and just finished (10 minutes ago!) Tripwire the third in the series. Without doubt Worth Dying For is the strongest I've read to date.

I'll have to go back and check out "Worth Dying For." I could swear that his portrayal of Jack has changed significantly as time as gone by.

..Change that. Worth Dying For is his latest novel and according to Amazon doesn't get released until 19 October 2010. How did you get an early copy Miles?

Miles | 3 comments Sorry folks, just noticed I had missed a few messages! Bru - no killing involved I promise!

I received a copy from the publishers, I began reviewing books in August for my blog and receive a number of ARC's / Proofs and Lee Child's was one of them.

Hope that answers your question and apologies for the delay in replying. Have a good Christmas Bru/Kat ;-)

Jo Beverley (jobeverley) | 8 comments I wanted to introduce myself here. I almost feel as if I should confess Lee Child's books as a guilty pleasure. Not because there's anything wrong with them, but because a few years ago I wouldn't have believed I'd enjoy them so much.

I'm a historical romance author, and though I try to read widely I know my prejudices. I prefer books written by women and I don't like thrillers.

Why did I even pick one up? Because of a brief connection. Years ago Lee Child and I were both authors on an event called Get Caught Reading At Sea. Yes, a bunch of authors and readers went on a cruise.

Lee and I met in the special check in desk for the authors and went on board together and one of those pesky photographers caught us as yet another happy couple! We chuckled about it, found our cabins, and I didn't see much of him the rest of the time, me being on romance panels and such, and him not.

So when I saw one of his books on the library shelves I thought I'd try it, and the rest is history.

It's hard for me to say why I like the books so much, but I'll try in another post.

Cheers,

Jo

Welcome aboard Jo! That's a heck of a story. How are your romance novels doing? I'm sure you have a dedicated clientele built up just like Lee.

If you click on the words "General Topics" at the top of this forum you can see all the other discussions we are having on Jack Reacher. Here's hoping you enjoy your visit. Cheers!

Jo, that is marvelous. For years my guilty pleasure has been historical romance novels. One in between bigger, deeper reads and such. Never murder mysteries or thrillers, or suspense. Someone I love convinced me to try Jack Reacher and now I am hooked absolutely. I don't know that I will read much more in this genre. It is really Jack that I like not so much the thriller. Nice to meet a like minded friend.

Courtney Schrum | 1 comments The reason I decided to start reading the Jack Reacher novels is because like Reacher I am a former Army MP. Being such as I read these books I see myself thinking the same way Reacher does, the way he deals with certain situations isn't as far fetched as some people think.

Dan Randau | 9 comments It's funny. I was really into fantasy fiction until recently. Now my mother in law has me hooked on reacher and my wife has me hooked on Stephanie plum! Crazy!
