twlight vs vampire diaries

Well, I've never read the books, but I've heard they are good and I do enjoy the show. Some people compare it to Twilight, but atleast The Vampire Diaries didn't screw with the mythology of vampires!

Nope, not in the "I can actually see myself dating this guy" way. I've acknowledged that a guy I've just seen is cute, but never in a "I don't care what it takes, he is going to be mine" way like Elena did to him.

Yea but you're forgetting she was the girl who could have any guy she wanted.. She had never been turned down before and Its human nature to go after the things that are hard to get.
