Deception was a key element in the development of my character Kline. The shadow of mystery that surrounds him is essential to his role. However it is his ability to deceive that plays such an important role in his interactions with everyone else including the President himself.

Deception is a part of life everyone seeks to deceive in some small way or another. But when it is applied to a character like Kline it is an evil kind of deception. With intent of doing harm or injury to someone or something. In this case the United States . And for what, to only further his upward movement in the goverment, and financial gain.

But we see this everyday in the news, powerful people, and a win at all costs attitude. Writing for this type of character doesn't require a lot of plot. Just ask yourself what is the easiest way to reach that characters next goal, and do it. He would, because this type of character is so self centered that he don't worry about consequence's. Once powerful enough they become invincible, or at least think so.Shadow War
