Andrea walked through the market checking out the stands with her hands shoved into her pockets of her jeans. Keeping her eyes directed toward the ground.

"I..." Epsilon shrugged. "I'm actually not sure."

Krista chased after him and scooped him up. "You're going to get squished," She warned, gesturing to all the people who were walking without looking where they stepped.

Tomate felt as if he was crying, but was not. "You have t-to let me go. I need to find my dad!"

Krista shrugged and opened his hand. "Alright, whatever. Enjoy getting squished. Maybe your dad will buy you as a condiment."

He let out a sad wail, sounding like he was crying, yet no tears shed. "I don't want to be eaten, I don't!"

[Dovewing]

"That's interesting." A small opauge egg floated out from behind her shoulder. It flashed blue twice, and she chuckled.

"No, I-I won't! I need to find my father, and being told what to do won't get me a-anywhere!" Tomate sobbed.

Andrea walked by Krista and Tomate and sighed to herself

Andrea's was listening to the conversation between them, with her wolf hearing.

Her brow furrowed. "Is something wrong?"

Epsilon pointed to the egg.

Krista shrugged. She had nothing better to do.

Saffy looked over. "Oh, that's my companion. Well, that's what my people call them. The official name is ovulum."

"Ovulum," Epsilon repeated. The word sounded strange to him.

[Dovewing]

"Yeah. An ovulum is sort of like... Oh, what's that word? A conscience. It helps guide me away from wrong."

"Weird." Epsilon said. He kinda wanted one. Maybe if he did, then he would remember something.

[Dovewing]

"Not in Second Eden. Though I know some of those who live elsewhere do not have them. I cannot imagine living without my companion. In fact, I can't."

"You mean you'd die without one?"

"Yes. If someone were to take my companion, I would become ill, and die within a few hours."

Epsilon frowned. There goes his secret hope of having one before he could remember anything. "That's no fun."

[Dovewing]

"No, it is not. There have been few occurences, but those who have had their companions stolen suffered. But they are now in a better place."

Something about the girl's tone made Epsilon think it was sadder than she said. So he changed the subject. "What's your name?" He asked.

"Sappheire, though everyone calls me Saffy. And you?"

"Um... Epsilon, I guess."

[Dovewing]

She nodded. "Do you live in this dimension?"

"I think so..."

[Dovewing]

"You are unsure of your home?"

"I..." Epsilon hesitated. "I just woke up a few days ago, lying in pools of my own blood. No open wounds, though. Just scars. I don't know about anything that happened to me before then. So yeah. I'm unsure."

[Dovewing]

"Perhaps you have amnesia."

"Sounds like it."

[Dovewing]

"That would mean a head wound... Do you have any symptoms of a concussion?"

"I have scars on my face. But no bumps or anything. I didn't even have any cuts when I woke up."

[Dovewing]

"Any headache or nausea?"

Epsilon shook his head. "No wounds whatsoever. I just can't remember anything at all. It was like I was completely healed before I woke up."

[Dovewing]

"That's strange... You must have been severly injured, to wake in that pool of blood, but you weren't in any pain when you woke."

"Right. It was weird. But I had this, this thing carved into my stomach which is now a scar. I'd show you, but that'd look weird with all these people around."

[Dovewing]

"Right. Could you just tell me what it looks like?"

"The Greek letter Epsilon. Took me forever to figure out. That's why I go by Epsilon."

[Dovewing]

"Oh..."

Epsilon nodded, then grinned. "Actually there were three letters. Phi, Xi, and Epsilon, all in different places. But they don't really spell anything and I didn't want to go by Phi or Xi, so Epsilon it was." He shrugged.

[Dovewing]

She scratched the letters out on the ground. "Phxe, Xphe, Phex, Exph, Ephx, Xeph."

"Not those three." Epsilon said, pointing to the upper case Epsilon, the upper case Phi, and the lower case Xi.

"Those are the greek letters, though. Uppercase and lowercase shouldn't matter."

Epsilon shrugged. "I'm just telling you what was there and what wasn't."

"Right, sorry." she scratched the possible anograms of the three letters on the ground. "Do any of these mean anything to you?"
