Damian nodded slowly. "Sure. You go first." He looked over at her as he spoke.

Anfisa giggled. "I'm wondering what you were remembering."

Damian smiled, placing his hands behind his head in thought. "Hm... Well I was mostly remembering how frustrating it was. Not being claimed, I mean. A lot of my friends helped me." His smile widened at the memory of Callisto helping him try to discover if he was her sibling. "But every time we tried, it didn't work."

"Oh..." Anfisa nodded. "I see. I remember when I first came to camp I didn't really talk to anyone. I didn't like anybody." she laughed at the odd memory. "But now I'm friends with a bunch of people."

Damian looked over in surprise. "You didn't like people? You're like, the bubbliest person in camp! How did you not like anyone?"

Anfisa shrugged. "I dunno. I stayed in my cabi and played with my doll all day."

"Oh. I remember isolating myself, too. But that's because I was upset with my parents. Did your dad make you mad?"

"No. I just wanted to see him again and go home. I don't get to see him a lot," she added.

"Ah, I'm sorry." He fumbled with his words, not sure what he should say. "Why not? Don't you go home during the year?"

"It's alright. I do go home, but Daddy has work and for magic for people. So I stay home with Nana."

"Your dad is a magician?" Damian sat up in interest. I guess that's why Hecate was interested in him.

Anfisa nodded, smiling over at him from her spot on the ground. "Mmhm. He goes out a lot, though."

"A few," Anfisa replied. "But they're not like what Rhys and Lysander and Jared can do."

A very confused Damian raised one chocolate eyebrow. "Are those your siblings?"

Anfisa nodded. "Mmhm. They're all older than me."

His face cleared immediately. "I see. Are you as good as they are?"

Anfisa shook her head quickly. "Oh no. They're all much much better."

Damian shrugged thoughtfully. "That might not be true. You might be much better at something that they aren't."

"Maybe. But they're helping me so it's okay."

Damian smiled at her reassuringly. "So what you're saying is that you'll end up being the best of the best."

Anfisa shook her head quickly. "No, no, that's not what I meant," she said hastily. "I was just saying that they're helping me."

Damian crossed his right ankle over his left, looking up at the sky. "Well whether you meant it or not, with all three of them helping you, you're gonna be the best magician-thing this Camp has ever seen."

"No," Anfisa protested. "They're all really good. I'm not trying to better than them.'

Damian shook his head. "No, I'm not saying you are. I'm just saying that if all of them are helping you, you're gonna be really good."

Damian grinned. "Don't worry, Anfisa. I'm sure you're doing fine."

"Thanks, Damian," she said sheepishly. "I hope so. Lysander and Jason--from the Di-Dionysus cabin," she struggled with the god's name for a moment, "told me to see Chiron."

Damian nodded in silent agreement for a moment. Then, "yeah. If you want even more help with your magic, Chiron would be the one to talk to." He frowned slightly, looking over in her direction. "Jason still at camp?"?

"I don't know if he still is. He told me a while ago," Anfisa admitted sheepishly. "He got me cookies."

Anfisa sighed contently. "He is." Suddenly, her finger pointed at a cloud. "What does that one look like to you?"

Damian tilted his head, eyes on the cloud her finger was pointing to. "A hippo," he decided sheepishly. "What about you?"

She giggled at his determination. "I think its a snowman," she decided.

"All right," Damian agreed swiftly. "What about that one?" He pointed to another cloud.

"It looks like a fish," she replied, gazing up at the white fluffy mass.

"Hm..." Damian focused on the fish-cloud. "I think it looks like a rocket."
