Mallory sighed dramatically, smile growing wider by the moment. "Well what about archery? Are you good at that?"

"No... not really," Ivan said.

"Hm... We could always go to the vineyard," she suggested brightly.

"Great!" She enthused with a bright smile. "Let's go." She linked her arm into his, and lead the way.

Strolling down along the grounds was a thin, tan figure with dark curls surrounding his head. His face was sober, blue green eyes thoughtful as he gazed up at the blue sky. Damian Spritz was in one of his day-dreaming moods.

Anfisa skipped through the grounds, after having a rather fantastic pizza at the kitchen. Of course, she too had been straring up at the sky, though probably for different reasons. She felt herself bump into someone, and her gaze from the clouds to the boy in front of her.

"Sorry!"

Unlike some of his siblings, Damian was a sucker for little kids. He found them adorable, so when a little girl accidentally bumped into him, he chuckled. "Naw, it's OK. I should've been watching where I was going." He grinned down at her, dusting off his pants.

Anfisa smiled up at him. She cocked her head up at him, curious. "What were you doing, anyways? Were you watching the clouds?" she asked. Her weight shifted from her heels, to the balls of her feet, back down to her heels, and so on. And then she remembered to introduce herself. "I'm Anfisa."

"I was daydreaming," Damian admitted sheepishly. He looked up at the sky, obly now thinking to study the clouds since she mentioned it. "in guessing you were watching the clouds?" He looked back down to smile warmly and offer the girl his hand. "Damian."

Anfisa shook his hand with her gloved hands. "I was," she said, grinning. "They make shapes in the sky." She looked up at the clouds, and pointed at one. "That one looks like a bunny," she giggled.

Damian was a bit perplexed that this girl was wearing gloves in the middle of June(July?). Deciding not to press her on it, he too looked up at the cloud. At first, he couldn't piece together the shape so that it looked like a rabbit, but after a moment or two he saw it. "Hey, you're right!"

Anfisa clapped happily. "And over there's a Teddy bear," she said, pointing at another formation of clouds. "Zac has a bear..." she murmured to herself as she plopped down onto the ground. She motioned for Damian to join her.

Damian chuckled, plopping his skeletal figure down beside hers. "Now who's Zac?" He asked curiously, his gaze moving from the puffy cloud shapes to the small girl beside him.

"He's from the Nemisis cabin," Anfisa replied. "We blew on dandelions together." She smiled at the memory. "It was fun."

Oh, that Zac! Recodnition crossed his face when the girl mentioned his little brother. "I'll bet." He blinked up at the sky, eyes slowly adjusting to the harsh light. "I haven't done that in forever."

"You should do it more often, then," Anfisa replied. "There are lots by the lake."

"I'll keep that in mind," Damian promised, unable to hide his amusement. The innocence of the young was so enjoyable to watch. How he sometines longed to go back.

Anfisa clapped. "Yay," she laughed. "They're a lot of fun. Especially for me, because the puffs do all sorts of things after I blow them off the stem."

Damian looked over at her with a raised eyebrow. "What kind of things do they do?" He paused, scrutinizing her face. It was unfamiliar. "What cabin are you?"

"All sorts of things. One time, they did a loop in the air. I liked that one." Anfisa thought of the other designs she liked. "And another time, they landed in a swirl. Hecate," she added.

"Well, that explains a lot," Damian said. "Do you make the dandelions do that?" He propped hinself' up on his elbow to peer down at her.

"Mmhm. It happens every time." Anfisa laid down on the soft grass and stared up at the clouds.

"Hm, so why are you surprised when you see them if you can control it?" He raised his eyebrow, looking at her expectantly.

"But I can't control it," she sighed. "It comes out different every time." She frowned, obviously not happy with that.

"Oh, well that sounds really cool. I always wanted to be a Hecate kid when I was younger. Then again, I was always fascinated by the Persephone campers, too..." He trailed off, looking up at the sky.

"Why?" Anfisa asked innocently, cocking her head towards him. "What cabin are you in?"

"Nemesis," Damian replied with a dainty shrug. "I was undetermined for awhile."

"Oh... So that means you're Zac's sibling," Anfisa said cheerfully. "And Aja'sx and Keelyn's, right?"

Damian nodded brightly. "Yup! I'm kinda the middle kid." He grinned. "But I still love them."

"I'm the youngest," Anfisa chimed. "And then Noel is the next youngest." She smiled as if she'd made an important point.

"You being the youngest doesn't exactly surprise me," he admitted with a smile. "How long did you kbow who your mother was?"

"Daddy told me before I came to camp," she said. "But I didnt know who she was until Mr. Chiron told me."

"And how old were you?" He pestered eagerly. She had obviously been young. Lucky.

"Um... When I was five." She held up five gloved fingers, as if to prove herself.

"That must have been so cool." He sighed in envy.

Anfisa shrugged. "I didn't like it. I didn't even know who she was. I wanted to go home." She giggled, recalling her first few days camp.

Damian chuckled. " It seems we had very different lives," he murmered gently.

Anfisa nodded, staring up at the sky. "What about you?"

Damian looked up at the clouds. He noticed that one looked like a flower, but didn't say anything about it. "Well, I only found out after Mr. Nelson my health teacher turned into a hellhound and attacked me. I've been undecided ever since." He paused to let in a breathe. "Until last year, mum finally claimed me."

"That must've been scary," Anfisa said, eyes widening. "But at least you're okay now." She smiled over at him. "And she claimed you. So that's good, too."

Damian nodded slowly. "Yeah, I guess I'm pretty lucky."

"And you're here at camp, so that's good, right?" Anfisa rolled onto her side so that she was facing him.

Damian grinned at her round face. "Yeah, that's definately a good thing."

"Then don't be sad," Anfisa said.

"I'm not really sad. Just remembering." He chuckled quietly.

"Oh..." she trailed off, a thoughtful look on her small face. "Remembering what?" she ventured out.

"You know, what it was like before I was claimed."

"Ooh. Do you want to share?" Anfisa asked, smiling as she brushed a few strands of blonde hair from her eyes.
