Bottom lip sticking out, cerulean blue eyes widening, Myra crept on closer.
"I'm sorry if it insulted your pride," she whispered in his ear, nuzzling his cheek and brushing it with her full lips.

[It's OK, the awesome of your posts from before makes up for it]
"I s'pose it was just for a good laugh," Lucas allowed after awhile, weighing his options and deciding it wasn't very fair to get mad. After all, he had been expecting revenge.
At least she didn't take my clothes when I was in the showers or something. Even though half the girls in camp would swoon over him bare-chested in only a towel.

"Good," Myra said, and smiling widely, she wrapped her arms around Lucas' neck, thumping her nose to his with a wink.
"You're not mad?"
"You're not mad?"
"A little, but that's just me," Lucas said, mouth twitching up into a faint smile. "I'll get over the fact the entire camp saw my back--" He tickled her sides for good measure, planting a soft kiss on Myra's forehead. "--And you finish that 'paperwork', eh?"
A rich giggle burst from Myra and she traced the side of Lucas' face with one of her endearing smiles.
"I didn't mean to make you mad," she murmured.

"You should have known I would have gotten a smidgen mad." Lucas looked down at her with an accusing look, brow puckered in the slightest and lips in a small pout.

With a rather ghastly look on her face, Cassidy stumbled through the grounds. Her fingers fumbled in her pocket, and her eyes grew wide.
"Sh*t."
She'd throw her dagger in the fields. And she'd left it there. And there was no damn way ((no reference intended)) she was going back after meeting the Deimos girl.

Keelyn hauled a box across the grounds, pulling lamely on a rope she'd attached to it. The idea came to her without much thought, and she ignored the fact the rope would give her hands painful burns when rubbed against her skin.
So she walked the grounds, dragging around the heavy contents that were to go the forge around with great difficulty. "I have the muscles of a seven year old, why me?" she muttered to herself crossly, inspecting the red skin of her hands.

Glancing back at the fields, then down at the ground, Cassidy found her gaze fixated on a girl, to whom she recognized as Keelyn, pulling a box. With a rope. And a cheap one at that.
Slowly, as to keep her mind off the panicky thoughts, she made her way towards Keelyn.
"Need help?"

Rubbing her sweaty hands on the cloth of her jeans, Keelyn glanced at Cassidy and nodded with a relieved exhale. Finally, someone who probably had a better idea of how to move this box with more ease.
"Do I ever. It's full of supplies for the forge, but it's so freakin' heavy."

"Well, there's handles on their for a reason other than ropes. Grab that side, I'll get the other."
Cassidy moved to the other side, and grabbed one of the handles with both hands. She gave an expectant look to Keelyn.

There are handles? What the--Oh.
Keelyn hadn't taken care to examine the box properly, and only until now did she notice the convenient handles with a slouch of her shoulders. This was one of the things her not-so-keen eyesight often proved to miss.
Hooking her fingers through the loop of the handle, she counted down to three and raised the box.

With a heave, Cassidy lifted the box and, sucking in her breath quickly. She started towards the forge slowly, as the box still proved to be a lot heavier than she'd thought. Meh.

"What's in this anyways? A boulder?"
Keelyn lagged behind, trying not to let her sweaty grip loosen. If that happened, the other end of the box would have fallen on someone's foot.

Ivan wore a large grin on his face as he walked alongside the daughter of Aphrodite. His dark eyes glanced back and forth between the various trees which dotted the grounds.
Cassidy shrugged. "Supplies. Use your imagination."
A small smirk tugged on her lips as she walked on. Her grip was stiff on the box. "Or you could ask the Hephaestus kids."

Ivan shrugged. "Different stuff. Like them," he added with a glance at the two girls hefting what seemed to be a rather heavy box.

"They look kinda scary." Keelyn put her other hand on the box, hoping to steady the teetering that threatened to spill the heavy contents. "But like the Ares kids, though."
She eyed the box, again; the inside rattled a little each step they took. Hammers...?

Ivan shrugged. "If you want to," he replied.
"It'll probably be something we least expect," Cassidy replied. "Like, I dunno, if I say something it might be the exact opposite."

"Like, marshmallows or something. I'm sorry, that was stupid." Keelyn automatically apologized without even finding reason to. It was a habit. She turned her head, hoping to hide the embarrassment from Cassidy's view. Think before you talk, she slowly reminded herself.

"S'alright. Don't think marshmallows can be this heavy, though. Maybe it's like a puppy or something," Cassidy chuckled.
"Like a robot puppy," Keelyn breathed, taking another glance at the box. Her grip began to weaken the further they went, and she had to stop.
"I can't go on any longer. Let's take a break," she suggested, near panting.

Cassidy nodded, carefully placing the box on the ground. "We should just look at what's inside," she commented.
Heads would no doubt turn as this daughter of Eros made her way around the grounds. Airlia Colomba hardly paid any attention to her appearance at camp, knowing that she didn’t need to enhance her beauty, but a recent shake of her stable confidence had forced her to do so immediately. Her hair was tousled irresistibly down her back in a golden mane of bed-head curls. Bronze legs were bare for the looking in a short denim skirt, their fine shape put on display in red sandal wedges. Those startling eyes were smouldering in eyeliner, pouting lips kept bare, eyelashes lengthened by a mascara wand sweeping against her cheek every time she blinked.
Yes, Airlia Colomba was every boy’s dream. Every boy, she fretted, but her own? Was it possible?
She shook this thought from her mind as she continued her stride across the grounds to the Zeus cabin, a basket filled with lunch goods swinging from her arm.

She shook this thought from her mind as she continued her stride across the grounds to the Zeus cabin, a basket filled with lunch goods swinging from her arm.

Absently dancing through the few trees in the grounds, Sam Taylore weaved through the plants. Though she looked as happy as could be, thoughts haunted her. Casper... leaving? It was a heart-breaking thought, and the more time she spent with him, the more that fact hurt her heart.
An apple rolled out of the basket as Airlia swung it a little too hard; as a result she sighed and got down on her hands and knees, offering the camp a rather unobstructed view of her backside. Where had it gone to? Beyond that hedge?
Shooting a glare behind her that rendered those wolf-whistling teenage boys silent, she reached out to swat blindly for the apple and instead hit what was either some weirdly textured plant or someone's leg. Gasping in surprise Airlia scooted back to look up.
"Oh," she murmured, regaining her composure and forgetting all about the lost apple, "it's you."

Sam's eyes narrowed for a moment. The way Airlia had said 'you' gave Sam the impression that she was unwelcomed by the beautiful daughter of Eros.
With a sigh, Sam crossed her arms over her well-filled out chest. "Yes it's me," she replied evenly. "And that's you."
Rising up on such high heels would have proved difficult for some but Airlia did so with a grace that had the boys swooning all over again. Scowling darkly at them (and therefore shutting them up for a second time), Airlia turned to Sam, that scowl lingering for a second before she replaced it with a calm half-smile.
"Yes, it is," she agreed.
"Yes, it is," she agreed.

"How are you, Airlia?"
"Fine," the Eros beauty replied lightly, repositioning the basket on her arm, taking care not to swing it.
Those ever-calculating hazel-green eyes studied Sam for a long moment before tilting her head to sweetly ask, "And you?"

She hesitated. She could easily lie to her, but just as easily pour her heart out.
"I'm... fine," she decided stiffly. Her intense gray gaze falling to her blue pumps.
Iviana (The Sign Painter!) wrote: "Cassidy nodded, carefully placing the box on the ground. "We should just look at what's inside," she commented."
"I don't think we're at liberty to do that," Keelyn said in a cautious tone. Although, opening the box and seeing what weighed so much wasn't really a crime.

"Touche." Cassidy pulled her hands away from the handles, examining them for any signs of cuts or splinters.
"But it isn't like they would know. I mean, they don't have like, spies or anything." Keelyn managed to keep the eager curiosity out of her voice, making her words seem as nonchalant as possible.

"That's good. Well, I was just going to see Deon," Airlia supplemented lightly, keeping her tone light and calm, giving Sam a glowing smile.
In truth the girl was dying to get to the Zeus cabin in order to force an interrogation out of her boyfriend-- now being stalled by what seemed suspiciously like an ex-girlfriend, Airlia's mood had been greatly diminished.
If she's still not completely over him-- and that's so obvious-- wouldn't that mean that they actually had something true going for each other? Suspicious thoughts cradled the envious ones and Airlia's bottom lip stuck out in a pout as her eyes unfocused and went to the distance.
What if I ruined something-- what if she could have been better for him than I...?

"We shall."
Not hesitating a moment more (more cautious thoughts were bound to come into the usually careful girl's mind), Keelyn pulled the box closer and slowly lifted open the lid. What was revealed wasn't even close to what she'd expected.
You're kidding me.

"What the f*ck is that...?"
Cassidy peered over the edge. What she saw was a mechanical lump of whirring motors. Then she recalled her own words.
"Told you it'd be something we wouldn't expect."

Raising a brow, Keelyn fully opened the box and had to hold back a squeal when it...moved.
Awkwardly scampering about in the bottom of the box was a mechanical hamster, no less. It was made out of scrap metals, you could tell, for all the colours on it were different and patched together. The face was made of minuscule nuts and bolts, and the whole creation was about the size of a grown man's fist.
"Is that supposed to be what I'm guessing it is?"
Maybe one of the Hephaestus kids had a fondness for animals.

His face felt hot and he felt completely clueless, not like the feeling was foreign, but he seethed inside for not noticing. "I most certainly did not love it," he added, the seriousness in his tone lacking in both amusement and, surprisingly, anger. The real damage that had been done here was to his pride, something that could be easily fixed.
