Hand moving to gently rub her back, Ajax frowned after kissing the dark head, leaning his cheek on the top of it, wrapping both muscled arms around her.
"Cassidy?" He knew the girl had been Holly's favourite sister and the bond between the two had been unquestionable-- until now?

"I tried getting her to tell me willingly, but she acted as if nothing happened. I feel like I have to help her."
If only she could express the enormity of it, by the gods she was burning herself! And if the girl wasn't doing it willingly, than who was? It was pure torture to have the knowledge of what was going on and not help. But butting her way into things always proved disastrous.

Noting the slight desperate edge of hysteria in Holly's voice, Ajax hugged her tight, clasping him to her comfortingly. His confusion didn't matter much at this point.
"Maybe she doesn't want to burden you with... whatever it is," he murmured.
"Maybe she doesn't want to burden you with... whatever it is," he murmured.
"I'm too nosy for my own good," Holly mumbled, wishing she hadn't seen the scar. It would have probably gone better that way. "And you're being too nice to me," her voice rose in teasing complaint.
"You're not being nosy. You're being protective of your younger sister. And," Ajax said, nuzzling the side of her neck to whisper the words all the more quietly in her ear, "I can't be too nice to you. I must worship you." Teasing growl, then a kiss.
"If only I had that on video for all the times we argued when we were kids, perfect blackmail. I must've gone a week without talking to you once, I was so stubborn," Holly said with a laughing sigh.
[Oops D:]
"We went three years," Ajax said, echoing her sigh, but on him it was melancholic. "Torture."
He kissed her earlobe.

(('Tis kay. ^^ The compy is being slow, btw.))
"Cruel," Holly agreed, eating up every word spoken in his low, rich voice. It was near intoxicating, but so very addicting. "I miss the beach," she dared to say after nipping at his ear, a coy smile finding it's way onto her lips.

[Awwwwww. :(]
"Really?"
He pulled back slightly so their foreheads rested together, his neck bent down as he looked deeply into the entrancing eyes.
"Would you like a re-enactment?"
His hand trailed from her back, leisurely up her spine, to press against her neck and tilt her head up, a low groan escaping his lips as he pressed them to hers.
[I love Google Chrome. When my comp crashes in the middle of a post, not only does it open up GR again, the unposted post is still there!]

Tender hands pulled him back, whether it was for further torture or to talk clearly, one could only guess with Holly.
"Minus the part where I threaten to kill you, yes. My death glare takes a lot out of me." A pout of the lips followed the coquettish complaint, just begging him to kiss her again.

Thumb pressing hard against Holly's pouting lips, Ajax chuckled in his decadent voice, observing the flirtations of his paramour. His thumb traced around the cherub of Holly's mouth mercilessly and he leaned in again.
"Oh, no. Your death threats mean the world to me," Ajax murmured, slyly smiling again as he crushed her lips to him, wrapping his arms around her in a final embrace, enjoying the flames of desire and love.

A low groan of pleasure and defiance, and a slender leg starting to wind around his, Holly could feel the fire licking at her lips and fingertips. Going for a dip at the beach didn't sound so bad after all.
"To the beach?" she reminded, pulling on his lip with her teeth.

A feral growl was released from the back of Ajax's throat as he felt the lean muscles of her leg around his, feeling every dip and curve of her lovely body.
"Please," he murmured, pulling away to tug on her hand, leading her towards the general direction of the sandy shore for saltwater kisses.

Suitcases were piled neatly on top of one another in the Anemoi cabin. Aureline was sick of leaving camp-- sick of running away-- sick of herself, but stuck to the thought that it wasn't running away now. It was something else.
Stepping out from her cabin for the first time in two days, Aureline squinted at the sun, throwing up a hand to shade her drawn face from it. Her other arm was wrapped around her waist in an unconscious gesture. And then her slate-grey eyes caught sight of the familiar figure, and her throat caught and her stomach-- oh, her stomach whirled unpleasantly--
"Dante."

And then her slate-grey eyes caught sight of the familiar figure, and her throat caught and her stomach-- oh, her stomach whirled unpleasantly--
"Dante."

"Aureline."
Calling for each other. For the last time, maybe.
Willing herself to remain calm, Aureline straightened in a would-be casual position and skipped down the steps, her eyes frozen onto Dante's lean stature.
How do I say this? I have to say something-- There's a reason I've been locked up for two-- I'm pregnant. Pregnant, pregnant, pregnant.
No words were needed here; she reached Dante with an odd look in her eye. It was as if the terror of her position shone underneath the icy exterior and beckoned to Dante, urged him to understand without words being spoken.
"I haven't seen you in a while," she whispered.

"You ran. Last time this happened, you left for a year."
"I have to leave again."
It took a moment to work up the words and Aurline closed her eyes, heart hammering. She could imagine a tiny heart underneath her navel hammering as well, beating, a tiny hand with delicate fingernails reaching out, pregnant-- pregnant-- the words were a taunt in her mind, destroying her--
She opened her eyes to look straight at Dante. If he looked closely, amidst the calm collectedness of her facade, that betraying bottom lip was quivering in the slightest.

"How do you know for certain? It hasn't been that long to confirm."
"Missed a period and I took a test. It's been a month. Long enough."
The quivering stopped now that Aureline had sealed her doom and she stared at Dante straight, eyes determinedly cold.
The quivering stopped now that Aureline had sealed her doom and she stared at Dante straight, eyes determinedly cold.

Dante shared not signs of being rattled; the world could be collapsing around him and he'd still remain calm.
Aureline's eyes seemed to turn even more frigid at that. Outright denial.
"I have never missed a month in my entire life, Dante. Fine. Don't believe it. You can continue not believing it while I try regaining my thoughts in Alaska."
"I have never missed a month in my entire life, Dante. Fine. Don't believe it. You can continue not believing it while I try regaining my thoughts in Alaska."

"When did you plan to tell me had I not walked by? Never?" he quizzically asked with a bit of venom in tone. "Weren't you planning not to repeat your past mistakes? Wasn't it you who desired to be close and yet have decided and assumed without speaking to me what is to be done?"
He strode closer. A step. Another. One more until he was so close she could feel the heat irradiating off his body. A smoldering gaze lowered to meet her eyes.
"Leave now and you'll be ending this. Stay and we'll take you to a professional to confirm for I will make no other decisions until that is done."
Again-- the more Dante infuriated her the icier Aureline became. Winds stirred up slowly, lazily, awakening from their forty-eight hour rest and lapped at Aureline and Dante with frigid tongues. Something snapped in her gaze as she met Dante's burning one.
"The only reason I walked out of there was to see you," she retorted, raising her lip in a half-snarl. She looked like a cornered animal that was too proud to submit to the tamer's demands. But in this case the tamer was every inch as dangerous as she.
"I'm not repeating any mistakes. I have not decided anything other than I am getting that damned thing removed--" as if she was talking about a tumour, not an infant-- "and seeing my mother again. We've jumped in this too fast."
Taking what was intended to be a calming breath (it was more like a shudder) Aureline laughed suddenly. Faint hysteria crept in the mirthless tone.
"I'll stay long enough for a professional to confirm this nightmare. I wonder what you'll decide then."
From the way she spoke it was clear she didn't expect much from Dante's imminent decision.

"Stay," he asked. "Stay and come with me to check. You needn't flee to your mother."
Stay with me.
She fled from his embrace, her hand flitting to her forehead to her stomach and around her waist again.
"And if it is?" Aureline whispered, panic rising in her throat and flying across her eyes. "If I'm right? What then?"
The unspeakable horrors flooded Aureline's mind and though she wanted to vomit with revulsion she stayed perfectly still.

"You panic too quickly. We'll cross that bridge when and if it comes once confirmed. We do more harm to ourselves with leaping too far ahead. Until then, I want you to calm down before you pass out from an attack. Can you?"
He held his hands out in an invitation.
"I can't just wait. It's a baby, a baby, and it's everything, Dante. My life at least will be changed no matter what happens-- if it's alive. How could I have been so stupid? Gods..."
This frightened soliloquy, starting off as a burst-out cry, faded into a trembling muttering as Aureline stepped forward, barreling herself in Dante's chest and doing her utmost best not to sob in terror.

He made no moves to cease the cries; he only held on tighter to let her have a place to fall firmly upon. She stayed. Relief set in despite his own hardship in seeing Aureline so broken. All else faded save for the purpose of warming her chill. And that's how their evening was spent.

Skipping childishly, Anfisa clutched a dandelion in her hand with a bright smile on her young face, highlighting her innocence. She took a light turn then stopped with an easy blow to the plant in her hands. The puff flew away from the stem, and slowly fell to the ground after hanging for a moment in the air.
Nothing was as satisfactory as revenge.
And Myra Dejeunesse celebrated this fact, from the glowing blue of her eyes to the smug little smirk on her lips. Having told Lucas that she had 'some paperwork to do' was no doubt the perfect follow-up to the sticky-note prank (according to a reliable source, a girl from the Athena cabin had added a 'p' to the 'moo'-- genius!) and Lucas still didn't know.
His cluelessness, far from evoking pity in Myra, instead was the cause for the darkly amused glint in her eye. Feeling very much complete, Myra walked around the camp with hands deep in the slitted pockets of her dress, sandalled feet bouncing with a spring as she walked.
Spying the rather adorable Anfisa from the Hecate cabin, Myra ambled on forwards to her, stooping to pick a large cluster of dandelions. They'd only talked once or twice but Myra's maternal instinct tended to take over for the darling little girl and she grinned at Anfisa, brandishing the dandelions.
"Hi there, Anfisa."

Anfisa spun around at the sound her her name. A large smile grew on her face as she saw the dandelions in the older girls hands. She gave her a small wave as she dropped the now empty stem.
"Hallo, Myra," she chirped happily. "Are you going to blow on those?"
A gloved finger pointed at the clump of grey-white fluff in Myra's hands. Her head cocked to the left slightly, her blonde hair tumbling to the side and a few strands fell in front of her face which she brushed away with an irritable flick of her fingers.

So innocent. Pure. She could have been my sister for her personality... except, of course, the powers... poor girl.
"Just one. Here, I'll give you these and we can blow on them together, okay?"
Warmth resonating from her lovely smile, Myra handed out the cluster of dandelions, dutifully keeping one for herself.

Anfisa's eyes widened and she took the dandelions into her hands. She plucked one from the cluster, and nodded at her words.
"Okay. You can count."
"Okay. You can count."
Blowing dandelions. Such a childish pleasure, yet Myra still gained chaste amusement from this-- nostalgic days from France flooded in and she held the dandelion with a soft smile.
"One."
It was terrible, really-- innocence itself manifested in one sweet angelic child, one with powers that were anything but. Myra had tried convincing her to go to Chiron two years ago but at the look of utter vehemence from Anfisa, desisted. She wondered if her siblings had finally persuaded her to go.
"Two."
Until then Myra was perfectly content to act as older sister for Anfisa-- something in her maternal instinct reignited as she spent time with the charming girl. And here she was. Blowing dandelions.
"Threeeee!"
With a laugh and a huge puff of air, a cloud of grey seeds was blown from the stem, floating around in the air, some tangling into Myra's glossy chestnut hair, others sticking to her clothes, the rest cascading in ethereal waves to the grass.

At the sound of 'one', Anfisa drew raised a dandelion to her mouth, prepping herself. At the sound of 'two', she had drawn in a sharp breath. At 'three', she released the puff of air that sent the puff of seeds into the air, circling high above her hair, causing a fit of giggles to erupt from the little girl.
Anfisa looked over at Myra, and the sight of all the seeds tangled in the older girl's hair simply caused more giggles to overcome her.
"You have fluff on you."
She reached up, rising onto the balls of her feet, to pick off the various seeds that had stuck. She subdued her laughter, though her mouth was formed into a large smile.

"Yes, I've noticed that the seeds like my hair quite a lot," giggled out Myra, bending down and shaking her head.
"Raaaaaaaawr-- I'm a fierce lion who does not like seeds in my hair!"
With a ferocious growl Myra flipped her hair suddenly back, clawing a hand at Anfisa (unfortunately a giggle escaped and slightly ruined the charade) and roaring again.
"You better run, little girl, this lion is hungry," she said with a wink.

Anfisa squealed in delight, her gloved hands covering her giggling mouth as she jumped back. Unconsciously, she resembled her silent ragdoll when it giggled with Spencer, though of course, she hadn't a clue.
"Nooooo," she whined playfully. "I don't want you to be a lion."
The seeds from her dandelion slowly began to drift to the ground, most of which attached themselves onto Myra.

Another squeal erupted from Anfisa as she collapsed onto the ground from laughter. Happy tears welled up in her eyes as she attempted to push Myra off of her petite body.
"Stoppit!" she laughed.
"Stoppit!" she laughed.
"Only if you say the magic word," Myra said, her sweet voice disguised under a rasping growl.
Having said this, with a grin, she continued tickling the poor defenseless girl.

She was suddenly aware of her tension easing away the closer to him she was, and was eternally grateful for his calming touch. One of the many perks of having a balanced boyfriend.
A muffled comment, "It's Cassidy." That was all anyone needed. The bond between the two was unquestionably strong. Holly had never doubted their relationship, until now.
