Mark | 2 comments I read a book at least 10 years ago. I remember a part of the book in which several people were having a conversation, and they could sense the energy or light moving from one person to another and that they knew the person with the energy or light should be the one to speak at that time. For years, I thought this was a part of "The Alchemist", but I just re-read it, and I am pretty sure it wasn't in there. Next I was wondering if it was somewhere in "The Greatest Salesman in the World", but I don't think that is right either. Does anyone recognize this bit of enlightment that I have been attributing to "The Alchemist" all of these years?

Many Thanks,
Mark

Alysses (rumor_has_it) Sounds a lot like The Zahir by Paulo Coehlo.

Mark | 2 comments Thanks for the comment. I looked up the Zahir, and I don't think that was it, but that was a good guess, and it looks like an interesting read. I think another part of the book I'm trying to remember might have had this idea that we can all fly if we would just go with the flow, and used a metaphor of clinging to objects at the bottom of a flowing river, and if we would just let go we would "fly" with the current.

Kate (katespofford) | 261 comments I remember reading The Celestine Prophecy and there was something about seeing people's auras, and how there are no coincidences so if you happen to make eye contact with someone you need to talk to them.
