"Well, my mum died right after she gave birth to my twin brother and I. My dad's daughter, my half sister, died two years ago in a car crash. She was right next to me. And, my dad died last year, while we were on a walk one night. A tree just fell on him, out of the blue. My stepmother commited suicide after her only daughter and husband died. Now it's just my brother and I." Cinder finished, smiling sadly."But it's alright now. No need to stay in the past."
Cinder smiled."I'll have to remember that one. Thank you." she added, chuckling.
"So, shall we head back to the castle before we're caught?
"That'd be smart, but we're not in Ravenclaw..." Dawn said. She'd been inside the forest, but not much farther than this. She wanted to explore...
Cider nodded, grinned mischievously."I was hopin you'd say that. Let's go further, explore." she said.
Cinder thought for a moment. She shrugged."Why not. Make sure your wand is somewhere ready, though." she added, feeling in her jeans under her school robes to make sure it was still there.
"alright, let's head that way." she said, pouting to the darker part if the forest and drawing her wand."It looks much more interesting." he added, holdin er wand in front of her face and silently performing the lumos spell.
"Where should we start?" she asked softly, gazing around at the trees now obstructing all civilization from view.
Cinder nodded."Let's walk side by side, then. Get the full experience." then she grinned, setting off lightly and silently into the trees. She held her illuminated wan in grit of her, waving it to see the area.
They continued on like that, holding out their wands and walking through the woods.((What's gonna happen? We need a plot of some sort))
((aight, sounds good))Cinder heard a crack behind her. Uhoh, she thought. She turned, very slowly, to Dawn.
"What was that?" she whispered softly.
She turned, staring at the space, shining her light as well on the object. She saw two-very large, she might add- beady black eyes staring at her unblinkingly."What is it?" she whispered, asking.
((They have two eyes, a pair of them :) ))Cinder looked past the eyes and onto the creature. Her eyes widened and a small whimper betrayed her.
"Sp-sp-sp....spi....."she breathed, trailing off in paralizing fear.
((They have eight eyes, being spiders.))"Spider." Dawn finished for her, eyes wide in horror. Her hand was shaking, she was unaware that her wand was very close to dropping.
((seriously?!?! Well, apparently, I know who invented writing, but not the anatomy of a spider...interesting))She held her wand tightly.
"Obliviate!" she shouted, unsure of quarto do. One of the spider's legs blew off, and it cringed before echarging.
"oops. Sorry!" she called.
Dawn couldn't move. The sight of a charging Acromantula was terrifying, but she still couldn't force her legs to move.
Cinder stared at her friend in disbelief, grabbing her hand and tugging until it hve and she moved a bit."c'mon, let's go!" she exclaimed.
Dawn barely managed to nod, before turning and running full tilt, deeper and deeper into the forest, pulling Cinder along with.
Cinder ran as fast as possible, thanking whatever gods would listen for her quidditch muscles. They turned and twisted through the oddly spaced trees. Looking begin her quickly, she saw the spider's fleeting form gaining in them. In an instant, and along with thousands of tiny spiders, a second Acromantula appeared and started after then. She let out a whimper and turned around, running faster and pulling Dawn eith her."don't look back." she told her grimly
Cider kept running, coming to a fork in the path and stopping immediately."Which way?" she asked worriedly.
"I guess we're going right." Cinder mumbled to herself before streaking off after Dawn, looking back every few seconds to make sure the giant monsters weren't following them.
The following spiders got further and further away, and though she was confused at first, she soon began to see why.
((OK.))Ahead of them was a huge hollow, with hundreds of spiders((Heh heh...)). They circled around Dawn and Cinder, clicking their pincers menacingly.((Dunno if clicking is the right word...*shrugs*))
((gross! Haha, love it))Cinder looked on, not even quite afraid so much as grossed out.
"Other way, other way." she said quickly, backing up.
"Too late." Dawn said. She'd thought of that, but the two spiders that had been chasing them had caught up, and were right behind them. "Who is it?" A deep, growling voice sounded.
Cinder gulped, the bravest face she could manage still slightly contorted in fear. "Well, students of Hogwarts. I'm Cinder, this is Dawn." she said and her voice, oddly, did not shake.
Cinder waited for it to respond, her confidence and bravery growing by the second. ((do you wanna do the spider's voice, or should I?))
(Me, either...let's play it by ear. :D))A raspier voice came this time, higher in pitch, as if a male and a female.
"Students of Hogwarts, why have you disturbed us?" it asked, beady eyes staring unflinchingly at them, far larger than either which were chasing them before, who were now protectively gaurding the exit.
Cinder frowned.
"We don't want trouble. And your...children,"she said, unsure,"chased the two of us here. We only want to get back to the castle, not disturb you. I suppose we could just..." she stopped, turning where she had backed up to...right into one of the rather large guarding spiders.

"Yes." she mumbled.
"Hve you?" she asked, knowing that she had, once again, asked a stupid and obvious question. It's no wonder she wasn't a Ravenclaw.
