I really enjoy Jill Shalvis. Even though I haven't read it, I think you'll like her story. She does novellas very well.
I'm heading to bed. It's early, but I had a busy day.
Good chatting with you, doll!! *hugs*

Breaking Point is a must read next, Kelly. There's a scene in there... brought me to tears the first time I read it and still does, every time I re-read the book.
Definitely move on to Breaking Point. I promise, you'll be amazed.

Glad you liked BP, Kelly. Great story!

I'm currently rereading the Monster Hunter International series by Larry Correia.
I did buy a Christmas novella bundle by Jill Shalvis based on the quality of her story in another Christmas anthology. I'll probably start that next. I don't want to OD on Christmas themes before the holiday even gets here.

I haven't delved into Christmas stories yet. Maybe soon... guess I better hurry though.

Has anyone read Eve Langlais' F.U.C. Series? Furry United Coalition? Sounds really good and the 3 book bundle is just $0.99 for kindle right now.

LOL!! My daughter just took her final final today - microbiology - and celebrated with an amped up Salted Caramel Mocha from Starbucks. She's workin' a caffeine buzzzzzz right now.

It's good so far! I had to put it aside to finish Wicked Cravings so I'd have my review in on time. Looking forward to losing myself in Lucky Harbor again!
I've been rereading Patricia Briggs's "Mercy Thompson" series in anticipation of the new release soon. I have read this series so many times it's not funny. I meant only to read the last installment, but after that I had to go back to the beginning and reread from #1.
They're Urban Fantasy, Dhes, although they do have an ongoing romantic thread. I think they're great. Even the weakest of the bunch (one in particular I didn't love) was still a decent read. Of my UF series it's near the top. As for level of writing, I think Briggs is easily up there with PC, KA and JRW. It's just not quite the same genre.

The problem with anthologies is the stories almost always feel cut off unless they're honest to goodness novellas. Otherwise they just seem like a slice-of-life of a side character from a series you may or may not have read. It's not enough to care about the character, but sometimes it's just enough to make you frustrated the story didn't follow through all the way.
