I don't know the name of the merchant. I remember he was going to cut off Aladdin's hand or Jasmine's hand? One saves the other. The captain of the guard, named Garza or something, captures them and Aladdin is in jail and Jasmine is returned to the palace.

I was actually going for Jem and the Holograms. I loved that cartoon when I was young!!! It does look like PuffyAmiYumi fits the criteria though. :)
