then I stumbled across some linda howard,s books in the local library and that is when I came to know all the fantastic authors .
u can say howard's books hooked me to romantic suspense so i started searchin for similar authors and thats when i found pamela clare. athough i have only read her i-team series but m lookin fwd to readin some of her historicals and would love if would tell me from where to start :p

Hi Juhi,
My initial impulse was to recommend the MacKinnon Rangers series (3 books have already been published and it is advisable that they are read in order, 'Surrender', 'Untamed', 'Defiant'), but being beguiled by the MacKinnon brothers (and riveted by the prince of darkness,Lord Wentworth -a future book in the series),has made me forget how good the Blakewell/Kenleigh books were. Had I just been introduced to the Pamela cosmos, I'd start with 'Sweet Release' and then move to 'Ride the Fire'. The latter is the story of Cassie and Alec's (the couple in 'Sweet Release')son. 'Unlawful Contact' is my favourite too of the great I-team series,one of the reasons for loving that book is Marc Hunter (this reader swoons, faints,conks and zonks and passes out), my favourite hero in the romance-suspense category.
How exciting to come to these books for the first time...me, I re-read them at least twice a year.

thank you for THE WELCOME!! :)

Why, yes, we are!

DEFIANT is a RITA finalist! I got the call this morning. The RITA awards are the romantic fiction equivalent of the Oscars, so I'm very excited.
And that makes TWO RITA finals for the MacKinnon's Ranger series. SURRENDER finaled in 2013 but didn't win.
Keep your fingers crossed for me! :-)

Thank you, Jona! I'm so glad you've enjoyed the series. :-)

Since all your books are winners in my estimation, before even looking at your competition for the 2013 RITA for Historical Romance, it seemed you should be a shew in. But after seeing the competition -- wow -- it's stiff (in alphabetical order):
Lori Austin :: Beauty and the Bounty Hunter
Pamela Clare :: Defiant
Cara Elliott :: Too Dangerous to Desire
Anne Gracie :: Bride by Mistake
Sabrina Jeffries :: A Lady Never Surrenders
Jade Lee :: Wedded in Sin
Sarah MacLean :: A Rogue by Any Other Name
Monica McCarty :: The Recruit
Still. My money is on Defiant!

Argh! Wish I could just read the whole day, but sadly, work happens :(

Darn work! It takes so much of our reading time away!

Enjoy! Pamela Clare is a very talented author!

Welcome Giulia!
Haven't read the book after Sweet Release but Surrender is fantastic!

I haven't read it yet. It's on my shelf, staring at me!

It's already screaming at me, along with a lot of other books. It is dangerous being a bookworm. :)

Yeah, really!

I'm fairly new to the romance subgenres, thanks to the fact that many books have been so recently made accessible to those of us who are totally blind readers. I've always had a great love of historicals especially the western/prairie romances, and now I can add that I love anything to do with Scotland or Highlanders, romantic suspense, and paranormals. I'm reading everything I can, and loving it!
And please pardon any incorrect spellings of author or character names on my part. Since most of the books I read are spoken to me through a process called text-to-speech on my computer and mobile devices, I might not always get the spelling of names correct. Apologies in advance.
Some of my favorite authors are;
Pamela Clare
Diana Gabaldon
Suzanne Brockmann
Karen Marie Moning
Sarah Donati
J. R. Ward
Sarah Addison Allen
Cindy Gerrard
