I didn't know there's a MTM statue!! Makes me want to watch the old episodes.

My sister Hayden, and John and I just looked at the slide show of your pictures. She commented, "you all look like you are having so much fun." Well we were. What a fun weekend! Great Pictures! Thank you for posting.

Thanks for posting the link to the pictures - they are great. I didn't know Minneapolis was so beautiful, especially in the Fall. It's also interesting to see the people whose comments I have been reading for the last year or so. I hope to make the next convention.

The bookstore, restaurant, and Philip's house all looked so lovely.

You mean as opposed to the big chains like Barnes and Noble? We have some here, but I don't go to them simply because they are so far away. (I'm out in the country and get things online.)

The Tudor bookstore in Minneapolis did look so inviting.

Thanks for the kind words, Gabrielle. In Minneapolis, we had to dress in layers since it was so chilly (by southern California standards).

It's only just fallen to the 70s here, Jane. It had been in the 90s and very humid. But the leaves were already dressed in gorgeous fall colors in Minneapolis - a plus for Californians. Our are just starting to turn, but they haven't turned as much as those in Minneapolis.

As far as surreptitiously filming, I have some sunglasses which film video; the lens is in the nose bridge of the glasses. It doesn't film as nicely as these clips, but it came in handy when I needed hands free on the canopy tour zip-line in Costa Rica.
In other words, if I make it to a future CR convention- watch out for the furtive filmer.

We have here a fine example of the ways that mental habits and attitudes can lag behind technological change. Point something that looks more or less like a traditional still camera at someone and they'll automatically assume you're taking still pictures, despite the fact that they know that all such cameras being made these days can also make videos. I suppose this is the last time I'll be able to get away with this trick, though.
I also hope that CRs who have not yet been to a get-together will take some encouragement here. Really, now -- have you ever seen a more non-threatening group of folks? These are people who pretend to talk to statues, for goshsakes! The next time we come close to where you live, we'll be expecting to see you.

As for the Park pictures, I can only assume you were tapdancing while filming.

Some of your pictures on the river in Portland are within a block of my house. I live in Lake Oswego, right behind that large brick estate on the river - near the park on the water. What a kick that you guys were so close. Wish I had been more with it when you were here. I could have met you. But hopefully New York will happen.
